Top 10 Hidden Gems Things to do in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur

October 7, 2021 Brandee Mangan

Mexico's fastest growing resort area offers miles of empty desert and deserted beaches. Laid-back nightlife and old-fashioned fun in the sun is the Cabos' lure. Only certain beaches are safe for swimming, however, including Lovers' Beach and the more tempestuous and aptly named Divorce Beach. Whale watching, hang-gliding, snorkeling, antiquing, golf and fishing, Loreto's historic mission, and sport fishing and dining in capital La Paz are other attractions. SuburBaja buses travel the coast.

You will slide around sandy berms, view scenic trails, capture the true beauty of the Baja peninsula while safely strapped into a suspended racing seat by a 5-point safety harness system. They are outfitted with off-road racing suspension and shock absorbers that provide 18” of suspension travel. We run exclusively on BF Goodrich All Terrain TA and Mud Terrain TA Tires. Each car is equipped with a 2 way radio system, internal intercom system, global positioning system, and fresh air filter. For as little as $395.00 USD, plus tax, you can strap yourself in one of our purpose built off-road race cars. Our staff will explain the safety precautions and provide you with some tips on how to handle these thrilling desert machines before tackling our off-road course. Three options are available, and while none of them require previous off-road experience, these cars have manual transaxles so experience in driving a standard shift vehicle is helpful.

Casa de Colores School of Traditional Mexican Cooking

Reviewed By justinc393

This was our second time visiting Donna's house, and this time we opted for a private lesson. We decided to tackle the granddaddy of them all the Mole Negro! We followed Donna to the house where we met her friend Miguel and immediately made our way to the kitchen and began cooking our first course... Mole Verde, which we ate as a soup. From there we began to "walk on the dark side" as Donna likes to call it as we began toasting and frying up the ingredients for our Mole Negro. The dish turned out amazing and the cooking was a joy, but the best part of the whole experience was our conversations with Donna and Miguel. It felt much like a holiday dinner at a dear friends house. We talked while we worked and enjoyed the fruits of our labor together at the end along with some beers! Donna has a true gift for relating the cooking techniques as well as the stories and histories of the foods we were working with. The biggest compliment I can pay Donna and Casa De Colores, is that we felt like family! Donna and Miguel, Thank you so much for your time and your hospitality! I cannot wait until our next chance to spend a day with you!

Mt. Solmar

Hubby, friend and I decided to try the climb on our own only to discover a wonderful person named, Enrique. Enrique took our group up the mountain but unfortunately my husband and I got separated from the group and was solo. Enrique did discover us as we made our way down. My recommendations are to wear good footwear, hat, sunscreen and bring water or an electrolyte type drink. Enrique offers this climb every morning at 9:30. He doesn't charge for being your guide, and tips are optional. TIP the Man! He was my savior that day and saved my a**. He is also a dog trainer and the tips help out with food expenses, etc. LOVE You Enrique ! You are the man!
