Well where do I start! Lynne the owner of the Bookshop is so friendly and helpful with great local knowledge and is happy to recommend different companies for various tours and is very happy to sort out a bargain for you amongst her wide range of stationery and New and Used Books. On our recent Holiday we visited the shop twice at the start and end of our Holiday and I’d recommend paying Lynne a visit even if Books aren’t your thing. On a side note Lynne’s beautiful dog Pepper will also give you a warm welcome and a friendly lick. This place was undoubtedly one of the memorable experiences of our Holiday.

Definitely worth the long drive Xerokampos is not a single beach but rather a series of beaches for every taste. We ended up at the large organised beach that was accessible and very friendly for kids. Clear shallow water and sandy beaches were perfect for the little ones.

Explore the “wild heart” of East Crete, undiscovered by tourism, where “time” seems to stand still. A combination of tar and off roads, will guide you over the highest mountains of Thripti (1475m) with an unforgettable panoramic view of both seas (Libyan/Aegean). We continue to Kavousi, where you can admire the oldest olive tree in the world (3250 years). In Mochlos, you will enjoy the “Greek kitchen” in a typical tavern. Our trip continues through the vine yards and olive fields, among small chapels, towards authentic villages with their simple lifestyle. To end this adventures day, refresh yourselves in the crystal clear water at the bay of Tholos. An unforgettable day for nature lovers and adventurers!!!
