Tasty breakfast very well prepared, excellent service, good coffee (will ask for extra large cup next time). Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended- but be sure to get there early. It is a smallish venue, and popular. Creamy mushrooms - to die for!

This is just next to Nelson Mandela square and you can have a nice lunch or dinner with watching the people who visits Nelson Mandela.I tried sea food plate with all fresh and tasty choices inside.Fish ,calamari ,prawns and mussels.The house wine was very good and cold .Service is very quick and friendly.Prices are reasonable and good.

This old dame never disappoints. There is certainly a reason they have been around for so long. Maintaining the charm of a 60s/70s steakhouse. The waiting staff to management radiate old school warm, family hospitality. The food is certainly better than most fancy, trendy steakhouses in JHB. Their ribs are the star of the show. Ribs you will be craving soon after your 1st visit. Even their side dishes are pure comfort. If you feel like a starter before the gigantic rib portion, the prawn cocktail took me on a stroll down memory lane. Simple but delicious. The desserts will ring a few bells too! Will be back again and again. Saul, our waiter, was a gem. Donât know why all restaurants cannot maintain this kind of service and passion amongst staff. Winning formula.

I love the Grillhouse Sandton but the service outside on the deck on a Friday evening is shocking. The place is packed and people are eager to spend but canât find any waiters. They donât seem to have sections or tables they are assigned to and there are not nearly enough of them. When you catch a different waiter and order, nothing happens. If you order from a manager, nothing happens. The San Bar up the hill from you has always been like this and thatâs why people donât like going there. You need to fix this, guys. Went here for a meal with my wife and it was such a great experience. It was a Sunday afternoon and we we decided to return to this restaurant after have a good meal here a few months ago. Our waitress was top notch. She was attentive but not obtrusive. Our starters and meals were perfect. We had the calamari starter which is one of the best I have had. The buffalo mozzarella pizza is also really good (but we did wonder if it was real buffalo mozzarella)The Florentine steak is also a winner and I would recommend it to any meat lover. At first I was put off by the extensive menu but was quickly charmed by the attentive professional staff. And then the food started coming out - everything was superb.The Peri-Peri Chicken Liver appetizer is a must as is the grilled calamari. We shard and tasted entree items from a Chicken Curry to Barramundi fish with vegetables to Lamb Chops and Salmon Poke Bowl - each was delicious The only reason Iâm not giving it 5 stars is that the food all came out too quickly. Before we could finish appetizers the entrees were arriving and it felt rushed. An interesting problem in South Africa where many restaurants are known for poor and slow service.....The place has a great vibe and is packed or a reason - they deliver good food at a great price!
