The harbour front has a large number of restaurants of varying quality as we found out.Bardis is on the Main Street behind the harbour and the owner runs his small taverna excellently using his own produce.The warm feta cheese shared starter was excellent as were the mains of fish soup and lamb. Excellent meal washed down with his wine and a complimentary pudding.Had a lovely chat as he was very quiet for a change. A very enjoyable evening with the best most authentic Greek food this holiday.

This is in my opinion the best restaurant along the front. So good we went twice, we had a choice and had to go somewhere again as we had tried all the ones we fancied. We werent wront, the food again was excellent. We had tamasalata excellent, Hot backed halloumi excellent, stifado and chicken and bacon slovakia and many more, and they were all good. Plus the freebies keep coming, ice creams, brandies, peach schnapps. They certainly know how to look after their customers and of course they recognise you when you go again, all part of customer service. Would definitely recommend

Went here in first night here and returned few more times over our holiday. Small friendly place on the main street in nidri. Good honest Greek food. Tasty and generous. Had takeaway gyros at lunch couple times too. Yum.

We spent a day here, paid for the comfy sunbeds, but money reimbursed towards food & drinks.We only had a small lunch of tsatsiki & fried cheese, it was ok, not the best . The restaurant is well stocked with good wines & I think it gets booked up in the evenings.For us it was a great beach day , nice sunbeds, best part of beach.

We have been a lot of times to this family run gem of a restaurant (run by the Father chef and front of house Son)The father travels the world looking for that special dish to add to the already extensive menu, all cooked to you liking and all mouth watering full of flavour and all very, very good. During our stay we have tried a wide and varied assortment of dishes from all over the world and each one has not disappointed at all..... Unbelievable atmosphere, complemented by the friendliness and knowledge of each dish by the son and their support staff. To round off every main meal ordered, a complementary glass of wine, red, rose or white is provided. This restaurant is outstanding in Nidri where most eating houses offer the same âtraditionalâ menu, Familia does that and a lot more, all at value for money. We can honestly say you wont be disappointed....... Be warned gets very busy around eight..might see you there as we have a few days left and haven't scratched the surface of the menu yet so much to try....

We had pita gyros and the meat was awful. Bad taste and bad quality. There is no air condition so it is not a pleasant experience to dine while the temperature is 35 degrees plus the heat from the cuisine. Not clean place and the waiter was an unkind guy whose behavior made the whole experience even worse. We wanted to pay by card and they replied that they are busy so it would be better to pay cash.

Went to Calypso twice before they closed for the winter. On both occasions the food was excellent and the location is fantastic particularly when the sun casts shadows on the mountains in the distance late in the afternoon.It is only feet away from the sea and has such a great atmosphere. Very good service and all sorts of excellent food.

Although we only popped in here for a quick drink after a day on the water, we had to wait ages to be served and an age for the arrival of our drinks and even longer to pay,. We counted 8 bar staff/waiters as well not doing anything - I'm sure we just got unlucky, but not great service.

I've eaten in here once and had the Gyros take away and honestly can't fault it !! The people working there are friendly, the food delicious and perfectly cooked and all at very reasonable prices. So many people seemed to walk past and seemingly be out off because it looks more like a cafe than a restaurant, but trust me the food is better than you'll find in some of the fancier waterfront restaurants charging quite a bit more !! Good honest food which really is "Tasty" will definitely be back !!
