Top 10 Government Buildings in Brussels, Belgium

September 21, 2021 Major Galusha

Unassuming Brussels is the capital of Belgium, Flanders and Europe. Medieval Grand-Place, is indeed grand, with many 17th-century buildings and daily flower markets. Reopened in 2006, the Atomium, Brussels' Eiffel Tower, provides great views, inside and out. Architecture fans should visit Musee Horta, home of Belgian master architect Victor Horta. St. Gery's clubs and bars are packed year-round. Seafood eateries abound in Ste. Catherine. Walk, rather than get snarled up in traffic, in the narrow streets.

It's the place where the rich people who live around it come for jogging. And it's very beautiful, in architecture and nature.

Amazing building and super large, this 19th century impressive building was built in the style of a classical temple and was completed in 1883. It is still home to the city's law courts.

Very interesting visit. The guide was really nice and he clearly had a wide knowledge of the whole place and the EU in general. Was very attentive and answered to all the questions. It was a dynamic talk and show of the place and Parliament process.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Parlamentarium. It provides interactive experience alongside detailed information about the formation of the European Union. I spent about 1 1/2 hours there but could have spend a lot longer if I had time.

Wow! Spent over two hours learning about modern European history in a very engaging way. Getting an understanding of how GB led the way in the 1950s to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the growth of the EU. Not a ra ra for the EU but a totally immersive experience for the thinking person. Really opened my eyes to the extent, breadth and reach of everything that is going on across the and within the EU nation states.
