Top 10 Game & Entertainment Centers in Scottish Highlands, Scotland

June 10, 2021 Brandee Mangan

The moody, romantic Scottish Highlands start at Loch Lomond just north of Glasgow. Comprising a slew of mountain ranges, this sparsely populated land is best seen by train on the West Highland Line. Mountains, lochs, bright heather and rhododendrons give way to white sand beaches and rugged coves as the train nears Mallaig. For a more active take on the region, hike the West Highland Way or visit the Trossachs National Park. Ben Nevis, a popular climbing spot, looms over the town of Fort William.

Spent an hour with a friend here yesterday for some of the fun archery. Great instructor, Andy, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent compliance with Covid relations to ensure safety, but the venue lends itself to covid compliance, whilst still being able to have fun. The session was so enjoyable that I'll be keeping an eye out for their beginners course opening up again, so that I can become a member and start shooting more regularly.

We visited this attraction whilst on a short holiday to Inverness and what a great place we found. We mainly went here because my two grandsons wanted to go karting. As you enter the building you enter a cafe style room and viewing area. The participants have to purchase balaclavas, currently £3, but race suits, gloves and crash helmets are provided. On your first ever visit you have to participate in the arrive and drive package. This consists of 2 x 7 minute sessions. On future visits you can participate in a Grand Prix, 2 x 5 minute heats and a 10 lap race. Also available are Dual Karts, these karts take juniors from 5 years old in the passenger seat whilst been driven by a trained Marshall. Prices for children currently range from £14 to £26. When my grandsons came off the track I asked them for their thoughts. One said “It was great”. The other replied “Proper fast!” They enjoyed it so much we plan to visit again before we head for home. The viewing area also hold a kick the football machine and a boxing punch bag machine. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Drinks, hot and cold, snacks and pizza can be purchased. Staff are smartly dressed, polite and friendly. Inverness Kart Raceway donate all their profits to Day 1 Charity. Inverness Kart Raceway is a great place for adults and children to have fun. A visit is highly recommend.

Aviemore Kart Raceway

Leisure karting for drivers aged 3 years and up. We have a variety of karts available for hire for families and faster karts for adults only racing. Our 500 meter out door track is set in a beautiful location in the Cairngorms national park and we welcome families and groups all year round.

The Kart experience is fun, exhilarating and great for all of the family, all abilities and size; the option of tandem karts makes it even more exciting for littlies to sit beside an adult and join in the fun. The options of the junior Karts and adults' ones are plenty. The course is good, challenging, but safe. The safety briefing is short, informative and targetted - people get enough information to understand the rules, without being subjected to something they will switch off during. However, by far THE best thing about the Raceway is the staff; from the lady on reception, to the chaps running the karts and track, they were all wonderful. The nice lady on reception was super helpful, super kind, and so polite. It is a really nice team, and they enhance an already fun experience. Prices are reasonable, and the covid-19 compliance is efficient, but not obstructive. The team are really lovely, and we enjoyed our experience immensely. We were some of the last customers of the day - and at no point did we feel rushed out of the premises or hurried to leave. In fact, they offered us additional laps (at a cost) as they saw how excited the kids were, and how much a couple of the adults wanted to go again, despite the fact that they were trying to close up to go home. They even patiently waited whilst all of the children took turns on the podium (they all wanted a picture in first place), and at no point seemed annoyed we were keeping them late. This proved for me that customer experience is paramount to them, rather than it just being a job. They truly were lovely people.
