Top 10 Game & Entertainment Centers in Cork, Province of Munster

September 5, 2021 Esmeralda Fenner

Plan to cross many bridges when in Cork. Ireland's third-largest city began life as an island and now spans both banks of the River Lee, with watery channels running beneath some of its main thoroughfares. The best way to experience this hilly southern seaport is on foot, following the signposted walking tour past St. Finn Barre's Cathedral and the riverside quadrangle of University College up the hill to red and white Shandon Church. Along the way, you'll meet plenty of the city's talkative residents.

Well we wanted to go go karting..... so found this place had to call to book as Internet doesn’t allow but i prefer to speak to people anyway as you get a feel for who your dealing with. Lovely guy on phone not sure of name but normally doesn’t work there as a rule. Quite glad we got him as the other staff when we arrived didn’t seem overall bothered but thankfully the guy we had was fabulous if we had of had the others i don’t think we would be so kind on review.... they wouldn’t even have eye contact with us let alone speak. The guy we had was a younger richard Rawlings look alike and was fun, friendly and very helpful. So hence the epic review. Great track for fun, everyone had a good time, and would definitely book again and be back as fun for all the family. Thank you to the guy we had as you made our experience brilliant. See you soon Is a bit of a drive but worth the 6 hours round trip

Visited today with three kids, two ten year olds and an 8 yr old, they had a great time. It’s been years since I was there and it certainly won’t be that long again. We were greeted by very friendly staff who were patient with the kids and all their questions. The play area was spotlessly clean as were the toilets. It’s a smaller set up then the likes of supernova but this was a plus as I was always able to see the kids and they didn’t spend half their time looking for each other. Great slides, ball pits and a large football area. A lovely man working there got the mechanical bull going, the kids were overjoyed! Again this man was so kind and patient with the kids. Will be back soon

Mardyke Entertainment Complex

The Mardyke Complex is a unique all-in-one entertainment destination that combines bowling, pool, ping pong, and karaoke stations with a crafts beer bar, Holy Smoke BBQ restaurant, and Woolshed Baa & Grill, an only international sports bar in Cork city. Whether you are going out for an exquisite 100% Irish BBQ meal, catching up with your mates over a pint and a game, throwing a party, looking for a perfect event venue, or just dropping by to rack some balls, Mardyke Complex's got you covered. Aside from good-quality food, craft beer and specialty cocktails, and a wide range of activities, our venues also offer almost daily entertainment, including regular Thursday Pub Quiz and Friday Music Bingo at Woolshed, summer BBQ at the roofed outdoor area, game nights, game and movie screenings, and more. Story Behind: The Mardyke Entertainment Complex is occupying the building with over 250 years of fascinating history. It was formerly a renowned warehouse of Woodford, Bourne & Co. grocers and wine merchants. In many aspects the interior of the original warehouse was preserved, giving all the venues of the modern Mardyke Complex an unmistakable vintage and historic touch. For example, the low-and-slow pit-smoked BBQ restaurant Holy Smoke now occupies the wine and whiskey cellars of the original warehouse. With such a wide range of activities and venues, the Mardyke Entertainment Complex has something to offer to anyone. Drop by and see for yourself! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Went for the first date night since COVID and have to say it was a fantastic experience. We had the pleasure of being served by Ciara. I have never been in a restaurant or a bar where someone has been so attentive, friendly and accommodating like Ciara. She made the whole experience personable, yet safe. Upon arrival she greeted us with the friendliest manner and there wasn’t a moment where we were without service. She was able to recommend exactly what we wanted and still managed to have the craic. Ciaran her manager was absolutely outstanding also. I will definitely be returning to the Mardyke and recommending to friends and that is purely down to the outstandingly service we received from both Ciara and Ciaran. From a very happy customer :)

Monkey Maze

Reviewed By melissab191 - Barnstaple, United Kingdom

Visited here with three adults and children aged 14, 10 and 7. 14 year old too big to go up in the maze but could use the down stairs play equipment. 10 and 7 year olds able to use all the slides and maze. Really fabulous to play in, lots of slides, lots of levels, plenty of space and not too many children. We visited between 4-6pm and were able to purchase meals as a part of the entrance which were good for the kids and filled them up. The place was clean and tidy and not loud and wild like many similar places. I was very impressed the children were “tagged” when they entered and this was taken off when they left, for added safety- great idea. The staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much to ask. Even when the kitchen closed they accommodated us and cooked the kids meals for us (blonde lovely lady who was very kind and an English lady who was also very polite and friendly). Highly recommend to tire out the children and have a couple of hours of peace!
