I went out of curiosity opening week to find that the staff were lovely and enthusiastic. It is an ideal place to go if you want to try gaming for the first time or if you own a rig or console but are waiting for a software update to install and still want to play games

Play Town

Play Town features a scaled down version of the town which will inspire children to explore life in our miniature setting through role play. Caber coffee, lovely cakes and lunches. Good fun for kids and relaxing for adults

Reviewed By nichola210 - Ballater, United Kingdom

We have visited Playtown many times when going through Inverurie. The venue is delightfully decorated and the children never fail to excitedly point it out from the high street. We book online in advance. The room is always clean and tidy prior to each session, and the colourful decor is delightful. Various role playing areas frame the seating area, offering a supermarket, vets and building site to name a few. They are always well stocked, clean, and of good quality. The café offers a nice selection of food and drink, and I was delighted on my last visit to find they had gluten free options for my coeliac child. Each slot is 90 minutes which I feel is the perfect amount of time, and the area is gated and well secured meaning we can be confident the children will not sneak away! The room is quite cosy, and offers enough space to enjoy being seated at a table whilst also allowing parents to supervise their child closely, particularly useful for those with smaller children. The slot allocation with limited spaces ensures no overcrowding. Playtown is a wonderful idea, with nothing in the shire quite like it, and the prices for both the time slots and café are very good value. It must also be said that the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, giving the venue a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We will be sure to visit whenever we are in the area in future (the children wouldn't have it any other way!). Highly recommended.

Scallywags Soft Play Centre

Reviewed By Kody01 - Scotland, United Kingdom

I visited the soft play area with a little one visiting from Holland. She had a great time. I’ll hopefully manage to take her back before she goes home. This is a facility for all year round, even in the wettest of days your children will be entertained and you can all be fed too. There is a varied menu for adults and children which is cooked to perfection, and their ice cream is delicious too, the choice of flavours are amazing and all kids cones are pirate themed, which is just a bit different. The staff are amazing with everyone who comes into the place, its well run and staff could not do enough to help. Anyone passing and looking for something to eat this is a good option down the beach front, not necessary to be using the soft play. I’ll be going back just to sit in and have a coffee and a home bake or an ice cream. It’s a well run establishment and I’d certainly recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried Scallywags yet.

Go Jump In

A fantastic amount of fun! Experience the sensation as you bounce in a vast arena of interconnected trampolines. You can jump between trampolines, literally bounce off the walls and challenge others to a friendly game of trampoline dodgeball. If you are more daring, you can also try flying and flipping into the foam zone or trying out some new moves on the tumble tracks.

Transition Extreme

The Adventure destination at the Beach in Aberdeen. Indoor Skatepark, Indoor Climbing and Bouldering, Cafe and Studios all under one roof.

Reviewed By 794heitora - Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom

Transition is one unique centre, Skate, inline, BMX and Climbing in one place, what else could one ask for ? Oh, and the food is delicious and healthy ;-) Although i'm not a user of the Skate park I remember being younger and always wanted to have a place like this nearby. The Climbing wall and Bouldering section are great and with a range of easy to very hard climbs available, you won't be bored that's for sure. The staff is very helpful and always with a smile ready to help in anything. The prices are average but the Friday fiver is the cherry on top of the cake... you can climb for £5 after 6pm until 10pm on the Friday. Other than that is normal prices charged everywhere. Just a note regarding the bad reviews because of the car park, I'm glad they introduced it, it was amazing seeing car park full and barely anyone in the centre... now there is always a parking place, all you have to do is sign in at the desk in the touch screen. My kids love it and it's worth to drive for almost an hour to go climb there.
