St Albans /sənt ˈɔːlbənz/, /seɪn ... / is a city in Hertfordshire, England, and the major urban area in the City and District of St Albans. It lies east of Hemel Hempstead and west of Hatfield, about 20 miles (32 km) north-northwest of central London, 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Welwyn Garden City and 11 miles (18 km) south-southeast of Luton. St Albans was the first major town on the old Roman road of Watling Street for travellers heading north, and it became the Roman city of Verulamium. It is a historic market town and is now a dormitory town within the London commuter belt and the Greater London Built-up Area.

So thrilled that The Odyssey are now showing National Theatre productions on a regular basis. We're really lucky that London is so convenient, however when we can sit in the luxury of the cinema so close to home, why bother going in on the train to pay such crazy prices. The seats are wonderfully comfortable, the view and sound quality is marvellous, and the drinks and snacks excellent. Kicked off with Fleabag, and saw Present Laughter a couple of days ago. So much more civilised than the local Odeon!!! Roll on Cyrano de Bergerac.

We offer two great outdoor activities, archery and air rifle/pistol shooting... Our aim is to make your day as exciting as possible. Using a variety of guns and shooting at various targets out in the open gives that feel of realism with adventure. You can choose to spend a few hours on just one activity, or.... maybe, if you have the time, why not make a day of it and do both... On the full event - This is where you spend a few hours on our target range with a qualified Archery GB instructor who first teaches you how to correctly use a bow and arrow, aiming, the etiquettes of archery. After a few practice rounds here, you then move onto our field range putting all you have learnt into practice shooting at animal shaped foam targets. All bows and arrows are provided and around lunchtime, you stop for a spot of BBQ and drinks... you then move onto the shooting range where you shoot at various metal targets and experience a variety of different air guns.

Yesterday my husband I spent the afternoon shooting with Target Events. Everything about the event was professional and efficient, from the booking (I had a lot of questions and Josh answered every e-mail), to our warm welcome to Springfield Farm, to the instructions and demonstrations during the shooting. Josh, instructor and owner, was funny, incredibly helpful, experienced, and tailored our instruction so we got the most out of our time with him. My husband and I had no shooting experience but buy the end of our session, Josh's expert instruction and encouragement made us proud of our new shooting skills. I highly recommend Target Events, no matter how small or how big your group is (the grounds are vast and clearly really cared for), and look forward to visiting again to participate in other activities they offer.

Took my son and some friends for a morning. Everybody enjoyed themselves. It’s well run and the marshall has a good concern for the safety of the youngsters which really pleased me. Game areas were great, toilets etc were basic but ok. Decent value entertainment for what you get. It would have been cheaper to book direct with them but I lost out booking through an internet intermediary which is a lesson learned for next time.

The Saint Bar is a stunning new, 2 floor venue in the heart of St Albans. The first floor features a licensed bar, a 100 inch screen showing all BT and Sky Sports, plus 11 x Supreme English and 4 x American brand new pool tables. You can just come in and play or book in advance. The second floor (Sinner Bar) is a 300 capacity bar / function room available for private hire with a Funktion One sound system and two remote controlled L.E.D bars. Book it for any occasion...

I am a member and I use the gym and pool every week. You do need to check the timetable for multiple lane availablilty before going for a swim. The pool is well used by swimming clubs. The entire poolside is floor to ceiling glass, with views onto Verulamium park. It really is stunning. Pool length is a perfect 25m and there are plenty of lanes to use during lane swimming times. The gym is upstairs and has the same stunning views. Excellent equipment, all in good order and very clean. Anyone complaining about this centre must be very hard to please indeed !
