Axed

Reviewed By magnolia2010

Melissa at Axed was very accommodating to our last minute mid-morning booking for our family of four. Our 17 year old daughter was the lead in choosing this 'cool' event, to compensate for a rained out ski day. And, crazy but true - with no age restrictions, our 4.5 year old boy was able to be part of the fun! Instruction on safety and technique was very effective. Melissa was awesome with all ages, very personable and energetic. We'd go again just for the competition...now that we know how to get the bullseye!

Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster

Reviewed By AmandaDucey - Kitchener, Canada

I'm not fond of coasters, but this was awesome. My husband and I visited as part of a weekend getaway. Staff were friendly, and one even took a picture of us before the ride started. The ride takes you up the mountain, and upon reaching the top you send yourself off. You can control how fast or slow you go, which put me at ease...by the end I was going full speed and enjoyed every moment. The view from the coaster was amazing. We're planning to return every season that its open for different views.

Story Book Park

This beautiful location is absolutely ideal for children. Even as young as 2 year olds! It's very family friendly with benches for mothers and babes, delicious French fries to order, fun waterslides, animals that are always a highlight for my children, little story time homes along the path, a train to ride, and the list goes on and on. Thankful I could experience this place as a child, and now take my own children!

My 3 year old daughter and I went for a fun afternoon and the "Pottery" class was our highlight! The techniques shown to us were very helpful and made it easy for my daughter to paint her Shark on her own the way she wanted! We had so much fun and it was just the right amount of time for a busy toddler. We cannot wait to receive our "surprise" in the mail and come back for more additions to her shelf.

Cascade Putting Course

Reviewed By AnLily

What? No zips, high ropes, Segway or climbing wall during pan demic?! Mini putt at Cascade is a safe alternative for socializing—in the centre of it all. After buying tickets at Activity Central’s Guest Services beside Red Devil Sports, you cross the path to the tent-canopy, where mini golf clubs are distributed in different sizes. Blue Mountain staff there will scan wristbands. Mind you: primary schoolkids might not have patience to complete the course. It’s better playing on a cloudy or cool day, because of the lack of shade. The view is scenic though; expect to spend an hour to finish all holes. Discounts are available for groups starting at 5 players and can be bundled with the Ridge Runner coaster. A day pass from Guest Services starts at $24 (youth) or $30 (adult) pay-as-you-go @mid-mountain. It’s half price for gondola with hiking access alone, or for ‘starters’ with individual add-on activities to decide later. (The simpler tee is outside Blue Mountain Village on 1st-Mountain Rd.) Convenient parking is at the Grand Georgian hotel or “Mosaic.” Overflow parking is a rather far trek for elderly or disabled guests from Wintergreen place. However, grandparents can shop at Lifted or sip beverages at Rusty’s patio nearby, while older kids have fun on the course. There’s something at Blue for everybody!
