This is a great place to visit on one of the rainier days in Lerwick. Really interesting museum that covers the geology, biodiversity, history and culture of these islands...from the dawn of time to the present day. Good, modern and well presented displays that inform but do not overwhelm. It is also free to enter and has a decent little shop.

Handmade goats milk soaps and gifts all made by myself only using my own goats milk, my products contain no palm oil some of our soaps have had amazing results especially with people who have eczema and psorasis

We popped in with our 2 girls (5 & 2) to have a look around and as there were kids boxes of 4 bath bombs we bought them a box to take home with us. They smelt gorgeous and they are the most brightly coloured bath bombs we have ever had, the kids loved them and have asked for some more for Christmas!

Single tack roads but views everywhere that have to be seen. When you get to Eshaness it is amazing. The wide expanse of water and so much to take it. Very much worth a visit.

Unless there is an event on, there's not much to see, but it is worth stopping to see what's there! The stained glass is really impressive. Just enter and walk up to the second floor to have a look.

St Ninian's Isle

Reviewed By Erik_and_Cheryl - Philadelphia, United States

We hiked here on September 3, 2019. It is simply an amazing place with breathtaking views of cliffs, the North Sea and birds. There are pathways around the island for you to walk on so you have a bit of guidence. There are no services of any kind, so a day trip backpack with water, snacks, clothing layers and the like should be brought. We would also recommend study footwear as it was be soggy in places and the ground can be uneven. The cliffs are magnificent to look at with thousands of sea birds flaying about. At one point we had fulmars that would buzz by us playfully. Take care around the edges as the wind gusts can hit you and make you a bit unsteady. We had a great time here and highly recommend it.

Nice gift shop, with the most lovely lady serving! Good clean toilets (including disabled / baby change) and the whole place is disabled friendly with ramps and a stair lift! Beautiful surroundings and warm and sunny in the conservatory!

Great value food... Cakes to die for, lovely staff. It can sometimes get busy when cruise ships in town but usually can find a table. Some lovely little walks nearby, playpark for the kids and small beach to explore.
