This is a nationally important area of countryside with some of the most beautiful, unspoilt scenery in the East Midlands. There are rolling hills and hidden valleys, gentle streams and nestling villages. The Lincolnshire Wolds is a living, working landscape, with woodland, grassland and abandoned chalk pits providing important habitats for rare flowers and wildlife.
Open space river running through it good for walking jogging pushing a pram little ones riding balance bike's

A hidden gem! We went out today and decided to visit the Walled Garden and had a wonderful time. The gardens are well-maintained, with themes, excellent planting and structures to explore. There is a lovely tea-room with excellently priced food and drinks, and a brilliant boho vibe to the indoor room. We could have chosen to sit outside in one of the many socially distant willow arbors as well. We bought sculpture and plants, and were spoiled for choice for wonderful things. (I may have to go back for a picnic basket...) The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was even free parking. I can't fault it, and will most definitely go back!

Designed in 1754, these graceful serpentine gardens feature a gothic greenhouse, stables, and a picturesque summerhouse beside a scenic lake.
Lovely place to visit. Sculpture park and formal gardens are beautiful and very peaceful. The staff extremely polite and helpful

Stunning visitor centre overlooking The Wash which has a cafe providing a great range of snacks and great food. There is also an information centre which runs various events throughout the year. Opening hours are restricted during the winter months and you will need to pay for parking.

Lincolnshire's only open air museum set in 3 archers of gardens & orchard a short distance from center of Skegness. We have the oldest residence in Skegness, a Mud & Stud Cottage, historic farm machinery, a Richard Hornsby Traction Engine in full working order and so much more. You can finish off your visit in our Tea Room, The Haven.
The volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable about their chosen subjects (traction engine and world war 1 and 2 memobilia to name a few) It's needs more support ( and better signage) as it is a hidden gem. The exhibits are good. Donation only but well worth the money.

The RAF Scampton Heritage Centre is housed inside the Annexe offices of the former 617 Sqn Hangar which is an English Heritage Grade II listed building. After a period of extensive renovation work carried out by volunteers, the Heritage Centre re-opened in June 2012. There is now the opportunity to see Wg Cdr Guy Gibsons office as it would have looked like in 1943. The Heritage Centre is open to the public by appointment only. To arrange a visit, please send an email, or use the contact us page on our website. We require a minimum of 14 days notice to complete security screening. We can accommodate groups large or small, including school trips.
Three of us spent a enjoyable and informative 4 hours at the RAF Scampton Heritage centre. If you are interested in RAF or WWII history this is a must see as it the base 633 Squadron was based at when they carried out the famous Dambusters raid. Guy Gibson’s office has been recreated in its original location and there is significant amount of equipment from the raid including the bomb aiming kit and an actual bouncing bomb. The centre also has details of 633 squadrons other raids and its activities after WWII. As the RAF Red Arrows are also based at RAF Scampton there are a Gnat and Hawk in Red Arrows colours in the hangar. Normally you would be able to sit in the Hawk but this is currently not possible due to Covid-19. The museum is manned by volunteers who have worked very hard to preserve very important artefacts. It is low key but well done and beautifully presented. You don’t a fancy cafe or gift shop but you do get enthusiasm, passion and a warm and friendly welcome. Thank you for taking the time to show us around.

As the name suggests this is a very steep street with lots of lovely independent shops, cafes, galleries etc. Cobbles and steepness would make me very cautious in inclement weather!
