We really enjoyed this visit. It is a good 1/2 day trip from Yerevan and can be combined with Garni temple. I love the music chamber. The are some beautiful views of the mountain sides. It our kids were a bit older we would try the home from here to lake Sevan.

See and feel the Armenian culture at one place. The cultural exhibition store “Noah’s garden” has opened its doors in the village Garni, next to the temple. Here our visitors can taste all types of Armenian wines, fruit-vodkas, cognacs as well as savour bountiful Armenian cuisine appetizers, take master classes in pottery, woodworking, carpet weaving and baking lavash, enjoy Armenian cuisine in restaurant Maran and shop Armenian goods

Right below "Garni Temple's" breathtaking cliff, at 23kms East of Yerevan, you will find "Garni Gorge" and the "Basaltic Organ"! Beautiful basalt columns and structures that - at some points - look like were hand cut, so perfect they are! You can walk all the way down from "Garni Temple", or ride a 4WD vehicle with a local driver (that was what our group did). A new road was under construction while we were there. Be ready for awesome views and fantastic pictures to take home. Enjoy!

Visiting "Garni Temple", you cannot miss "Garni Gorge" and its awesome "Basaltic Organ" - the hidden pipes of Armenia! Due to volcanic activities, basalt rock formations seem like columns sculpted by extraordinary craftsmen! Just breathtaking! You can walk down all the way from "Garni Temple" on the cliff's edge above, or hire one of the many existing 4WD vehicles with local drivers. Right there, you will immediately understand why "Basaltic Organ" is also known as "Symphony of Stones"! Enjoy!
