We booked an excellent 'hawk walk' experience though Virgin for 3/4 hour. Just the two of us (in our 50s) and and the knowledgeable keeper Ross. We took a stroll to the falconry arena area then on to the public parkland/woods down the lane, with the harris hawk freely following by choice. We had the hawk land on our hand about 5 times each from the posts and trees. The experience includes entry to the falconry which is much bigger and better than we expected - loads of birds (including owls and vultures), and meerkats, skunks, racoons and ferrets - so spent the few hours there. All had great enclosures and were well looked after. Saw an impressive flight demonstration show in the arena too for about half an hour - not just the usual birds of prey - a little owl, kookaburra and cute running/jumping seriema too. The falconry centre is part of a big garden centre complex including a restaurant, cafe, farm shop, clothing, and a few outdoor farm animals (alpacas, rhea, goats) so you can make a whole day out. There's even a soft play, carousel and playground for young ones (though limited opening in Aug due to covid). Superb, and surpassed our expectations!!

Wanted to try out some of their produce (which by the way is excellent) so popped in to try out a walk round the farm on a 'Lazy Sunday' whilst picking up our order from the farm shop. The farm itself is in a lovely tucked away spot, with some woodland and a small brook running through it. The kids loved playing in the woods, plenty to keep them entertained with rope swings and treehouses to explore. Also had lots of fun getting up close with some of the baby lambs and animals in the 'menagarie'. Their ethos is about running a sustainable, eco friendly farm, so as you'd expect it's small and no frills, but that's kinda the point and is what gives it it's charm. It's humble, personal and great fun. Looking forward to trying out a Saturday Open day next!

I've been coming here for years - love the fruit picking each year (great fun and the staff are lovely). Since lockdown, the Farm Shop has been an absolute lifesaver. I've avoided supermarkets as much as possible (as people just don't get the 2 metre rule) and have for the last 3 months shopped here every week. The quality of the food is outstanding and to be honest, when lockdown is lifted, I'd rather support Rectory Farm than a supermarket. Still love Waitrose but I'll buy most of my food here from now on. Felt safe throughout the whole of lockdown - they've got really clear signage (with the option to pick food up in your car if you pre-order) and a huge basin before you go into the Farm Shop. I've always felt safe and looked after. Charlie and the entire team are brilliant. They've become regular people in my life since lockdown and are fantastic. It's lovely experience doing my weekly shop now compared to the stress of a supermarket (plus MUCH better food too - all local and top quality). Well done to everyone at Rectory Farm for keeping us all fed and safe during these crazy times. Your efforts will absolutely be rewarded in customer loyalty way after lockdown. I'm very glad you've been there during these strange times. Thank you!

We arrived just before 2pm which was animal feeding time . My grandchildren are aged 5 and just over 1 yo. They really loved getting hands on and feeding the animals. It was a really safe environment and the staff were fantastic, really taking time to make sure each child got an opportunity to be involved. Great little tea room and a large outdoor area with lots of sit and ride tractors for various ages, that even the 1 year old could ride. There was also a hay bale climbing area which was ideal for our 5 yo with lots of tunnels and nooks and crannies. We all had such a great afternoon. The price isn’t cheap but I think for what we had it offered great value for money!

We arrived at 12 o’clock and left just after 6pm. We didn’t manage to do everything we could have as we ran out of time......we had a fantastic day and still have loads left to do for a return visit. If you think it’s just a farm shop and PYO you will be sadly mistaken. Opposite the farm shop you have a massive play area with a super large Maize Maze (well 3 actually in varying difficulty) small ride on’s, large go carts, fairy trails, crazy golf, sandpits, unicorn trails, trampolines and so much more. It’s £7.50, you get a wristband and you can go in and out as you please for the whole day. If you want to upgrade you ticket you can, to a season ticket. If I had found this place at the start of the summer holidays I would have done it, it would have happily kept my two entertained throughout. We were given trail/activity books at the start...complete all the games as you go round and you get bubbles or another gift of your choice as you leave. We didn’t complete all games as there was too many fun things to do, they still have my two gift when we left tho. The staff were really helpful, the park was clean and it was very good value for money. We had a break in the middle for some lunch then returned at the end. They also have a play barn which is a giant soft play, you have to book a session on line. We did look at this but had no time. They have so much there I couldn’t possibly list everything, give it a go, I thoroughly recommend it x

A happy and bright place to spend many an hour feeding the animals, in the sandpit, duck racing, and exploring the interactive displays. Our 3 year old loved the lights and animals, and youngest (1) enjoyed the play area. Friendly staff and family run entertainment.
