Court Gardens Farm

The weather wasn’t on our side for the vineyard tour but we had a fantastic day regardless! The owner and his son are very charismatic and funny so even in wellies and umbrellas (which they provided) in the cold we still learnt loads about the vineyard and of course got to try some very generous tasters of the sparkling wine too. Really great vineyard, I’ll certainly be back in the warmer months and hopefully do some picking too!

Great Park Farm Nursery

We are a small family run plant nursery, farm shop and cafe established 40 years ago. The farm is nestled in a quiet rural location, conveniently close to the 1066 walk to Battle and within a few miles of Hastings and Bexhill. The nursery and farm shop sell a wide range of high quality plants and produce, many grown and hand made on the premises, with friendly and knowledgeable staff always available to help with any questions.

Lovely cake, plus alternatives for milk. Staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful. Only downside is choosing which fabulous cake to have! On a plus, they do take outs!

Blackberry Farm

Went today for a bit of fun for the children in the holidays, today was particularly hot but we still decided to go and make a day of it! We were very pleased with the ease of paying in the car park on arrival, it meant no queing at gates for a long time with the children and once we parked we were set to go! We got there slightly early but they were still there waiting. Was lovely to still be able to purchase animal feed (make sure you take cash!) and this meant that our children still had the experience of feeding all the animals (which they loved!). My daughter is obsessed with llamas and said it was the highlight of her life to be able to feed them. Side note, the goat Bridge is amazing and just added a bit of fun on the walk round. Fantastic range of playing areas, my children went on the go carts, tractor ride and quad ride. The Pony rides were not open whilst we were there but it was an incredibly hot day so this made total sense. The reduced capacity actually felt like reduced capacity unlike other places in the area we have visited, there is plenty of room for everyone and it was easy to keep distance from others. I must add that this is the cleanest Park we have been too. Staff are constantly in the park cleaning equipment and there are plenty of places to wash and sanitise your hands. We would like a better option to eat there but it is my understanding that this is currently being built and we can't wait to come back and visit when that is open. Overall a wonderful, affordable day with plenty of options for all ages!

A family run farm in the heart of Sussex. We offer a bite to eat in the Stable Tea Rooms, a sweet ice cream treat at Latchetts Farm - the most cow to cone ice cream in Sussex! We also have a beautiful nature trail along our 100 acres of woodland. We offer camping in our beautiful site and couples only camping in our more secluded spots for a quiet, relaxing get-away in the Sussex countryside.

Blackstock Country Estate

Blackstock Country Estate is a beautiful countryside wedding and events venue set in the rolling South Downs of Sussex. We host ceremonies, receptions and events in two cosy barns, surrounded by 70 acres of breathtaking estate. Rustic and rural, yet refined and romantic, we are surrounded by open meadows, bluebell woodland and peaceful lakes. Wild deer can be spotted on the grounds, among other wildlife roaming freely. All this can be viewed from our two restored barns, one of which dates back to the 16th century, which can be hired together for exclusive use of the estate or hired separately. We are licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies for up to 180 guests, or can recommend some nearby historic churches. For receptions, conferences and parties we have licensed bars, the capacity for live music and can provide top-quality bespoke catering.

Massive THANK YOU to everyone at Blackstock Country Estate for making our wedding day the most perfect day. The venue is amazing- plenty of space, tons of character and the layout between the two barns allowed our day to flow well. All the staff at Blackstock were attentive and friendly during the planning of the wedding and on the big day. The food for our wedding breakfast and breakfast the next morning was delicious. We literally couldn’t have asked for more- would 100% recommend Blackstock as a wedding venue, you will not be disappointed.

Middle Farm is my absolute favorite place to visit on free weekend. Never disappointed with the food, service, and just lovely environment there. The have the best pastries and if you're a fan of beer/cider you're in for a treat! Don't forget to head into the shop and get the best farm raised eggs and meat. You haven't had a poached egg until you've done them with Middle Farm eggs, oh and the cheese scones are AMAZING! Stilton and Steak pasty is also killer. On a recent visit there was a pumpkin soup and pumpkin chai lattes that were both out of this world. Writing this reviews makes me keen to go again soon :)

Horam Manor Farm

Spent the weekend staying at the campsite next door, but chose to not do any cooking all weekend. During the Friday to Sunday we ate at the Lakeside Cafe and Bar at least once each day, popping back frequently for the lovely Ice Cream. We are at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The new menu has better options available for kids than before and at reasonable prices. The adult menu option are deliciously naughty but nice. Over the winter they have upgraded their kids play equipment, added seating and renovated the kitchens with new a coffee machine that kept me coming back from more. This old favourite of ours he just got better.
