Reviewed By 895marcelcThis B&B is what you would imagine when dreaming about travelling in Italy. Located right in wine and olive tree country, rollings green hills with far away villas and a superbe view of the town of Orvieto, which is an easy 15 minute drive. Breakfast was delicious, all made from scratch with a lovely selection of cakes and biscotti take on the terrace. Angela was a delight throughout, helping us with excellent advise on local diner spot and where to find the best parking when visiting Orvieto. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

Reviewed By Bigsister1I just returned from 10 days at Il Colombaio. I am homesick! I miss my beautiful room and the friendly atmosphere. It is the perfect spot to base yourself for visiting southern Tuscany and Umbria. Many agriturismos are owned by non-Italians, they are nice, but this is the real deal. A local family that knows their business and their how to treat guests. Spotless, great food, scenic walking trails, cute animals, I can't wait to go back!

The farm "LA CHIUSETTA" is in splendid panoramic views of Orvieto,only 10 minuts from centre, receive one's guests in three distinct farm- hauses, with rooms and apartments.It enjoys an extensive garden with welcoming pergolas, a small lake and a scenic swimming pool.
Excellent stay
Reviewed By IanNorfolk66I really enjoyed this holiday. A beautiful place set in acres of vineyards and olive grows with a lovely pool and quaint old stone house. The fam is located fifteen minutes drive from the beautiful town of Orvieto and is well placed for trips outwards. We visited both Rome (1.25 hours train) and Florence (1 hour drive) during our visit. Assisi was also nice. Hosts were very good. It is a little, but this was an attraction for us.

Warm hospitality - Off the beaten path
Reviewed By julianneb281We had a miscommunication with the host as she was taken by surprise that we were expecting to have dinner at the property the night of our stay. She graciously accommodated us (the only guests staying at the time) and went above and beyond our expectations. The antipasto course alone was enough to fill us up. She put out such an impressive spread of cured meats, cheeses, olives, and more. The pasta course (a boar ragu) was our favorite pasta dish of our entire stay in Italy! We were stuffed by the final course. We loved the cute terrace setting for dinner and breakfast. Accommodations are modest, but overall a great value, and a beautiful setting to enjoy the tranquil countryside. For us, it made a good stop in between visiting Assisi and Rome. Our only regret was not studying the Italian language better before our trip so we could have communicated better with the host. She was so sweet and generous.

Reviewed By annahurley75Podere Acqualoreto is set in a fantastic location with stunning views. The pool is delightful! We stayed in the lower ground floor apartments and they were perfect - cooking facilities, fridge, outside seating, washing machine and even a disco shower!! The best thing about this place is the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, nothing is too much for them. Excellent.
