Make sure and call ahead as this restaurant is always busy because the view of the valley is breathtaking and the food preparation and service are unmatched. Any of the beef dishes are delicious. Meal prices are moderate and the quality of the food makes this a real value.

The staff a very helpful but we needed to use our German phrases to be understood. The food is excellent. Situated on the busy main road, the restaurant is clearly popular with the locals. We had afternoon tea and returned for dinner.

Tripadvisor lists this as the best restaurant in Silandro and it was easy to see why. The menu is very Sud Tirol with lots of wholesome meat and fish options. The steak served on a large board was outstanding as was the lamb cutlets. The restaurant can handle large groups very well. Unusually the restaurant has 3 areas with different decor but the menus are the same - so take your choice from rustic to urban chic. Very good value for a first class meal. Efficient and friendly service.

Dieses Lokal steht in vielen Restaurantführern, aber es liegt so weit oben am Berg und offenbar abgelegen genug dass wir abends die einzigen Gäste waren. Persönlicher gehts also nicht und besser auch nicht, die urige Stube, der schüchterne, aber liebevolle Hausherr, die Zutaten der Brettljause die GroÃteils aus eigener Produktion kommen ... So was möchte man entdecken im Urlaub, da lohnt sich die Anfahrt ...

When we first entered, i admit, we weren't quite sure if we entered a pub or a restaurant. It isn't very large inside and chances are you share a table, but it gives off a real rustic and authentic feel of a typical family business with loads of locals coming for their beverages and food. The card is very small and you might not find huge meat dishes, but what you will find is very good "South Tyrolean Bacon/Ham" and one of the best "Tyrolean dumplings" we had. The atmosphere surely did its part to the tastiness! The price was also very affordable. They also sever some larger stuff like ribs but apparently only if ordered in advance. The staff was very friendly and happy to explain the beverages and dishes. They produce their own wine.

Die Latscher Alm ist nicht nur eine Wanderung, sondern auch eine Einkehr wert. Frische Produkte mit Herz, Liebe und Können zubereitet, lassen den Wanderer die Anstrengung schnell vergessen. Was hier an lokalen Spezialitäten und Köstlichkeiten auf den Tisch kommt, überzeugt den Wanderer und Gast. Nach dem Verlassen der Latscher Alm überlegt man schnell, wann man am besten noch einmal die Latscher Alm besuchen sollte. Ein kulinarisches Erlebnis mit fantastischem Ausblick, eingebettet in eine wundervolle Natur. Der Weg lohnt sich.....

Dopo km di cammino ci siamo ristorati con delle enormi omelette speck e formaggio e una buona birra alla spina. Sono molto gentili e hanno pure fatto uno sconticino sul conto finale!

Booked the restaurant and 2 rooms in July so we didn't need to drive after dinner. Everything was excellent - lovely clean and contemporary rooms (traditional but contemporary renovation), lovely welcome by the family and fabulous dinner. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing which was excellent value given the quality. Breakfast the next morning was beautifully laid out and delicious. The best of the South Tyrol - looking forward to returning!!

One can only recomend the Schwein haxe at Bierkeller. It is suplime and goes well with a large Forst-beer. The restaurant is very cozy and in a warm evening U can sit outsite under the glittering lights. Something one must try.Very tyrolean.
