I choose this place by reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. The food is excellent, they have their own recipes for certain dishes that are also their recommendations. I choose a carpaccio with meat and creamy cheese on top, lasagna bolognese and semifreddo. The atmosphere is nice. I recommend to book a table in advance especially for the weekends or be there early

With not much choice in the area and wanting to eat before 7:30 this was a great little find. We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta (absolutely perfect). The staff were very attentive and easy to communicate in English. We also had a pannacotta which was delicious and overall reasonably priced.

We visited Bologna for four nights following in the footsteps of Rick Stein. Tried his first recommendation and were disappointed by the service.... Can't think why he missed 051..... it's brilliant! Right in the heart of Bologna's "Soho". Wait for a table if you have to.... The hams and cheeses are superb, the tortellini marvellous and the tortelloni truly memorable....... And all for about 30Euros a head including wine. Go there!

After spending a long day Not being able to get home to the US, we were forced to stay 1 extra night at the Novotel, on Swiss Air. As part of the accommodation, we were provided a meal, not of our choice, meaning it was a set menu. While there was nothing wrong with the meal, it was the first and only meal I had in Italy in 12 days that came on 1 plate. This place has a good atmosphere and is a quality restaurant. Menus are available in English. Service is professional and not rushed. There are different dishes in the menu that you would not expect to see in a small establishment. Reasonable price but for a 3-course expect â¬100 to 130/head with wine and cocktails. The starters were excellent and the asparagus flan was a winner, light and flavoursome. The first meals were varied and the tagatelli and ragu was enjoyable but a bit heavy. The selection of main courses were boggling with some unique fish - croaker and amberjack: very unusual taste. The lamb ribs are excellent and Angus steak very thick so likely to be a bit rare if you just order medium. The deserts look amazing and the wine list is excellent. Overall a nice restaurant and it would be more atmospheric if you can secure a table in the main room.

Even though the big personality of Cesare is no longer there the service and attention to detail is still present. Itâs expensive but for a special occasion worth splashing out. The tagliolini with the white truffle shaved on top was amazing. Lamb cooked to perfection and so tasty. Zabaglione as good as ever let down by the frutti di bosco which was tasteless. Very nice bottle of sangiovese riserva.

Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is always packed with locals as the food is fantastic. We were lucky enough to visit when white truffles and porcini mushrooms were in season. A must find for an authentic Italian meal.

Great thing about this place is that you can find all kinds of Italian food, sea food and also pizza, they're all very tasty. Honestly the best pizza I have had in years. We had two more classic tastes as sausage & salami and ânapoletana veraceâ but we also tried one from the âgourmetâ menu with fried pumpkin flowers, buffalo ricotta, smoked provola cheese and âcolatura di aliciâ ( an Italian fish sauce made from anchovies)..we loved them all and it was a lot to eat â¦â¦.but that didnât stop us from trying one of the homemade desserts, we had a Sicilian cannolo which was delicious.Good beer selection and wine as well. We ate here twice during our stay at Savoia regency hotel. Complimentary prosecco almost as soon as we took our seats and a wee amuse bouche. The sea bass was probably the highlight of the food we ordered but everything was very good. Pleasant service both nights. Very happy.
