For as far as we could tell, this is the only place in the Brest Fortress complex serving hot food. There is a cafe and a proper restaurant. The menus are only in Russian and the staff does not speak English, so basic Russian skills (or a good dictionary) are required if you want to know what you're ordering. We had lunch here twice and picked a traditional Belarussian dish both times. They come with a warning that they take +30 minutes to prepare, so if you're in a hurry, it's probably better to pick a salad or soup. Our meals were very good and clearly freshly prepared. The staff was very efficient - serving the bill together with our meals. Like in other places we visited for lunch or dinner in Belarus, the concept of wanting more than 1 (non-alcoholic) drink still seems foreign to the waiting staff, so if you want more than 1 drink, it's better to order a large drink and avoid disappointment/thirst.

The restaurant is located at the heart of the city - in the Sovietskaya street. Its interior looks quite cosy, pleasant music plays at the background and there are plenty of tables for different parties.We were met by the administrator and invited to one of the tables. Our waiter Artem S. was very friendly, polite, smiling and prepossessing. He kept eye contact and gently smiled every time when talking to us. And it was not only him who behaved like that but, in general, other stuff as well.We ordered pickled beats with cheese, two cream soups with green pea, a basket of bread and green tea. The waiter informed us about the approximate time the food would be ready and asked what we preferred to have first. The dishes were nicely served and very delicious. What is more, they were nourishing that we could hardly finish them. As for the cost, we paid 26.5 BYN (around â¬10) which seems quite fair that quality and service. I would definitely recommend going there.

We went for a family dinner while on holiday. At entrance a kind of door man asked us if we made a reservation (which we didn't). He said there is there is no free places. While my wife was talking with him I sneaked in, and directly got a table from the waitress.The restaurant is cozy. Nice atmosphere. Though the leaking airco right above our table was quite annoying. The door was moderate: very heavy and quite fatty, though reasonable ok'ish. The service was very friendly but bit messy. They forgot about a dish and were not very timely with bringing dishes to the table.All by all we had a nice evening.

Korova has a good selection of grill classics like steaks and burgers, as well as some traditional eastern European dishes such as soups and pelmini. The bar is stocked with a respectable selection of crowd pleasing liquors and several respectable single malts, as well as a few less common items, not to mention six kinds of craft beer produced by Korova (labeled 13 litars) and a wide range of cocktails. The bartenders and wait staff are very friendly and I would certainly go there again! (And I do)

We were able to choose our own venue for lunch on Day 08 of our tour of Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine, so my spouse and I opted to eat outdoors here under an umbrella. The pedestrian street on which La Kave is located is beautiful and features whimsical lanterns with statues.I selected the traditional soup, solyanka, with meat. My husband had pasta carbonara. While neither were extraordinary, they both were tasty and reasonably priced.

We had a very nice time here and understand why this is rated on Trip Advisor as the best restaurant in Brest. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and the food was fresh and nice.
