Honestly was not happy about this tour at all. First off driver picks us up has a sitting in the van for mad long. Pulls up to the next resort to pick people up they're really late we're sitting there half hour now so then we start heading to pick up more people because of the holdup we ended up being very late to the start of our excursion. Our tour guide then proceeds to tell us that the government has shut the beaches down for the next week and and that we can't do the beach part and that will get extra time at the cave and buggies. This however was untrue because I did ATVs today which is the very next day and when we got to the beach excursion Park we were told the beach was never shut down yesterday the day before or this week our tour guide just decided that we would pay for it and they wouldn't included in our trip because they were late picking other people up. But None of it was true we got to the cave dipped in move the little and the tour guide is yelling it's time to go now the whole tour was rushed unenjoyable wouldn't recommend it

Head to Altos de Chavón to see a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village perched above the Chavón River. Admire the work of artisans from the Dominican Republic who crafted the village in detail. Board a catamaran and cruise to Saona Island and get back to nature in the government-protected reserve. Relax on the beach and top up your tan, or go for a swim. Explore the tropical surroundings at leisure and discover one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Marvel at the white sand and coconut palms before a BBQ buffet lunch of typical island fare. Make use of the open bar and sample local drinks before you return to Punta Cana.

Great value for what we got! I would normally dock a star for communication, but that kind of issue is SO common around here, it's not like the competition is likely to do better, and again, for the money, I can't complain. But here are my tips for this excursion if you decide to go: - Yes, it will be VERY muddy. They bring you purposely along muddy areas for the fun of it, so wear old clothes and washable shoes. Also put your items in a waterproof bag (we brought freebie vinyl knapsacks my kids were given from old soccer leagues) - Wear those ugly "river sandals" for the cave swim. We all bought pairs at Wal-Mart for $8 each before the trip... they have hard soles and rubber or nylon straps, so you can wear them on any surface but also in the water without them coming off. The bottom of the cave pool is rough and rocky. But amazing! - At the cave, do NOT let the guys with the parrot get you do photos with them. It's a trick. You'll see other visitors with a parrot on their arm or shoulder, and think, "oh cool, a free perk!" It's not. The parrot owners offer to take your photo using your phone, and you're happy till they take back the parrot and demand $20 PER PERSON who was in the photo. My weak husband forked over $40 for him and my son while my daughter and I were in the cave swim, but when I found out what happened, I went over and in Spanish chastised them and insisted they return the money, which they finally did. The tour operators apologized for it (the parrot dudes don't work for them, of course). If you really want the photo, tell them at the outset, "I will give you $5 to take a few photos of my family with the parrot" so that there are no arguments after. - They will give you water bottles halfway through! - Bring your own "gaiter" style mask with ear loops. It's much comfier than the $5 bandanas they will try to sell you at the beginning. Sunglasses and masks are a must because of the dust and mud flying around. - The transportation to/from your resort is an open-air bus. It's a fun, loud ride but not the safest! - The buggies are HARD to steer. You will need good arm strength. - You will get free samples of hot chocolate milk, coffee and the local liquor, "mamajuana." Sweet! Also some kind of bread. I REALLY recommend this excursion. For us, we wanted only something half-day because food is all-inclusive at our resort, so I didn't want something that included paying for another meal. I wanted to get a taste (literally) of the local culture, and do some amazing adventures. This trip delivers! -

I didn't go on any specific excursions with these guys, but I arranged my transfers to the airport / from the airport with them and they were great. Fair prices, spoke both English and Spanish. I had a bit of a disaster on my return from my holiday which meant I needed to go from the airport to spend another night in a hotel. I just messaged SM Shuttles on WhatsApp and straight away they organised a car for me, no hassle and a much better price than offered in the airport. Highly recommended.

You have to be up by 6:30am for your driver to pick you up from hotel but it is well worth it. Pedro was an awesome driver. Be sure to bring gratuity,it’s the only thing that’s not included as the host (workers) will be taking beautiful pics, selling fresh coconuts n pineapples as well as massages. (They work for small tips) Lunch was good enough for me but I would advise one to eat before leaving. You could ask for as much food as you like when getting the lunch that’s included. Good vibes and great time!!! We will definitely be going back again soon.

This was an awesome experience! Our guide, George, and our driver, Nelson were so great! George was very entertaining and funny, but also taught us a lot about the Dominican Republic history and culture. We learned a lot on this trip. The monkey experience was one of the coolest things that I've ever done! We also got to learn about the making of coffee and chocolate, as well as how they make coconut oil. This was very memorable. If you book this trip, I highly recommend that you request George and Nelson. You will not be disappointed!

Had an excellent time. Breath taking views. Swimming with the star fish at the sand bar in blur clear crystal waters was enjoyable. Wish could have been there a little longer to snorkel. Saona Island is georgios. Loved the lay out and the beach was clean and well maintained Only part that I didn't care for was on arrival prior to getting on the boat, locals were there selling merchandise. 2 young men one with an iguana and another with a monkey corner my daughter and I, Took her phone and started taking pictures. Than they demanded $20 for the pictures that they took on her cell phone without our approval. So a total of $40. I said no , I started to walk away and they continued to follow us to the boat. At one point they had their hand on my backpack. I told them again, NO and got on the boat.
