Please write your review under Cafeteria Antanos. The new owner is a "real chef" with a considerable amount of experience. They have very good food and service. They prices are also very reasonable. My wife and I had a very nice dinner with a craft beer for less than $30. Highly recommend this new restaurant.

So far we have visited this place twice. The new owners have done a great job redoing the menu and prices. Great food, great price and we received a great service by Belén our server.I highly recommend this place.

Very good gourmet pizza in a small but convivial space. Tere is also outdoor seating in this restaurant in a modern plaza. Only disappointment was the wine - pricey and red wine served very cold. Not what you expect in a place that claims to be a wine bar restaurant.

Had dinner here one evening while in Ciudad Colon. My husband had lasagna which he really enjoyed. I opted for one of the hamburgers which I wouldn't order again--too much gooey stuff on it--cheese sauce, refried beans and a very thin hamburger patty. We watched them make pizzas while we ate. I'd definitely try one of those if I went back.

El lugar se compone de dos container muy bien ambientados, más unas terrazas y mesas de madera en el jardÃn. La comida es es excelente, los muchachos atienden muy bien y el precio es justo.

If you're looking for the best food, service and ambiance in all of Atenas your search is over. This is an easy drive only 3 minutes from town using Waze. You won't get lost - really. Frank welcomed us warmly in his lush tropical "yard" and when we asked him for his recommendation, he enthusiastically pointed us towards the sea bass and shrimp with his special La Trocha sauce. Dining at La Trocha is an experience. Frank happily worked his kitchen magic while we lazily sipped wine and enjoyed Costa Rican jazz music. The food is unequivocally the best we've had in Atenas. Portions are huge...if you like to leave with leftovers you won't be disappointed. But Frank...he's the real magic. No, he doesn't speak English and our Spanish is very limited. Yet we enjoyed his companionship for over five hours on our most recent visit. And yes, we learned a lot of Spanish that night, and when our phone batteries were nearly dead from translations he brought out chargers. In no time we were "family". A truly congenial, warm-hearted man and I'd be remiss not to say I can't wait come back. Our favorite night of our 2-week trip. Absolute gem.

Es un lugar muy popular en Puriscal, tiene comida rápida, de muy buen sabor y a muy buen precio, las porciones muy generosas. Utilizan una mayonesa de la casa, muy conocida, con varias especies y de muy buen sabor. Muy recomendado pero especialmente para llevar, porque el lugar es pequeño.

Came here with the family since it is said the pusriscal the pork capital of Costa Rica. We found this place in trip advisor and decided to go. The place is clean and has a home atmosphere. We ordered the family Chicharron that comes with all you need for a family lunch. We were 5 and were all full and there was still some left. The home made tortillas are amazing we ordered some more to eat the food.

Every country has a place that is considered totally of the beaten track - in Costa Rica, proverbially, that is Puriscal. So get a flavour of the country as it used to be, after a one hour ride through lush tropical landscapes. And then drive on for some eight minutes, past the cemetery and you'll find Los Mirachos. Once you have recovered from the impact of the incredible view, pick your choice from a menu full of authentic Costa Rican dishes. Puriscal speciality is chicharon so that is a must - and big they are, the chicharones! Enjoy other great dishes, a choices of refrescos naturales and excellent service. And then cast another look over the incredible stretch of the central valley.
