Was gifted a voucher and chose Taste of Tuscany. A day of listening, chatting, learning & laughing. Siobhan and Carlo were fabulous hosts, getting everyone involved, sharing their knowledge and experiences, culminating in a long, lazy lunch. Amazing and accessible recipes which I have enjoyed trying at home. Definitely looking forward to participating in more classes. Just do it!

No stranger to the south west my fiancé and I knew we wanted to spend more time in Bridgetown. We stumbled across this little place the night before and straight away we were sold on the winter package which included two nights accomodation a tour of the farm , scones and a dinner . The owners of this farm Antonio and Adam are lovely . I can’t say enough about the breath taking 360 views , nor the food served to us by Antonio . We ran out of time to do the farm tour or have the scones but I would highly recommend you stay longer then we could this time . I would love to come and stay here for a week even if you do nothing but sit on the sofa and watch the birds in the valley all day

A small group of us attended Salt & Company as a team building exercise for work, wow!!! What an experience, ( i've cooked 2 of the dishes at home already). I learnt some very useful skills and techniques during the day. They give you tips on produce and copies of all the recipes to take home. We all worked on different dishes that when completed were assembled at a dining table for all to enjoy it was entertaining lots of fun and delicious. You can bring your own drinks to consume during prep and the banquet at the end. I'm now trying to round up a group of friends that want to try it out so I can do it again! The down side was that a few days later I took my Mum and partner to our local favorite Tapas bar and encountered what I now recognise as very average food and some of the techniques that we had been warned against during the class. It's now off my list of favorite restaurants! You can go as an individual or they have a minimum of 12 for if you want a private function.

The Cooking Professor

The workshop was a gift from my daughter who sadly was unable to attend. I took along a friend who is a regular and we had a fabulous evening with Riki and ten other guests. Riki’s instructions were excellent, the group shared the tasks in groups of 3 or 4 and we all got to see what each group was doing. Through the preparation Riki gave us numerous tips which cannot be learnt from following a recipe. These included a simple but effective way of dicing an onion (no tears) and advice on when to add each of the spices and different types of the seafood used. Riki pre prepared the ingredients for the Churros, which she cooked at the end. The resulting Paella was delicious and the Churros the best I have ever tasted. I look forward to returning and will treat my daughter next time.
