Apartment was within walking distance of the city centre - approx 20 minutes, was comfortable with a large bed and very clean and well presented. All staff on site were very friendly and extremely helpful.

We offer a range of stylish, self-contained apartments featuring fully equipped kitchens, en-suite bathrooms and spacious living and dining areas, with free Wi-Fi throughout and great on-site facilities. Newport Student Village is conveniently located in the centre of Newport and is only a short walk away from the city centre. Two large supermarkets are situated just minutes from the accommodation. Newport Leisure Centre is a 10-minute walk away and includes a gym, pool and other sports facilities. Our accommodation is only 20 minutes walk away from Newport train station with great connections to popular nearby locations such as Cardiff Central. Please, note that there is no parking available on-site. Guest has access to the shared kitchen within the apartment including table, chairs and seating area with TV. This is shared with five or six rooms. We provide: 24-hour security, free Wi-Fi, bike storage, laundry room with washers/dryers(fee applies) and vending machines.

Reviewed By annasinclairpI have spent 3 days hear it is a great place a good as a 4 star and great wifi and hard network hook up with ASDA within walking distance and a good reck room and parking. great views of the river and the local landmarks contract workers will be well looked after

Reviewed By demonbakerOnly stayed for one night as we only decided to visit Barry the evening beforehand,but we were more than happy with the accommodation. Keith could not have been more helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean. We definitely will go back again.

Unfortunately not worth visiting
Reviewed By NigePlymouthSadly a very disappointing apartment This apartment really does not deserve a 4* rating. Although not very old the condition of the apartment left much to be desired with missing light bulbs in the main room so the kitchen lights had to be left on (one broken), only 1 three seater settee even though it was supposed to accommodate 4 people. In the main room the blinds were also broken. The kitchen area was quite dirty with the top of the extractor hood being especially bad and overall quite poorly equipped with cutlery and crockery. The bathroom had obviously suffered water damage and one wall corner was still wet. There was a nasty smell in the bathroom especially if the door was left shut for any time. The damp had also made it into the hall way and affected the laminate flooring, the jointing strip between the bathroom and hallway floors was also missing. We don’t believe the apartment had been cleaned before we arrived as there were empty food wrappers behind the settee in the main room. The road outside seemed to be popular with boy racers and loud music and reving cars made it quite unpleasant. Compared with other apartments were have used (some being of a lower star rating) this was the sadly worst.

Very Upsetting
Reviewed By natcockellWas due to stay 13th May for 2 nights, received an email today (6th) to say our booking had been cancelled. NO REASON OR APOLOGY. I HAVE A VERY VERY UPSET 7 YR OLD NOW WHO HAS WAITED ,2 YEARS TO SEE DIVERSITY IN CARDIFF AND NOW WE HAVE NO ACCOMMODATION! Cannot speak to anyone and no reply to my emails. Very Upsetting.

Did the job
Reviewed By wittonlaneb6A decent stop over for the rugby in Cardiff. Nothing special to look at and not the most attractive part of town but was reasonably priced and the room was good, loads of room and comfy bed.....the car park next door where you park was cheap but run down......a walk round Newport was worthwhile though... as you are on the river the views are decent and I would recommend.
