We have 3 types of apartments - Studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom. All the apartments are fully furnished. The neighborhood features boutique shops, high end restaurants, banks and services which are only a minute's walk away from the apartment.
Excellent home away from home
Reviewed By 227steenaMy wife and I stayed two month in this wonderful small hotel. The hotel has some 25-30 flats in different size. We stayed in a flat with a large bedroom and a combined sitting, dinner and kitchen room which suited us perfect. The staff is very polite and helpful and doing their best to fell at home. When we stayed there all visitors were long term visitors which was very nice. A delicious breakfast is served on the roof top by a very dedicated chef and his two lovely helpers. We will absolutely recommend this place for your stay in Kathmandu.

HUGELY overpriced - facilities are more like a hostel
Reviewed By 123JessicaHThis place vastly overcharged for its “services” - my room was cold and damp, the bed was terrible, my “room with a view” overlooked a construction site on one side and a paved courtyard where religious ceremonies start at 5am on the other, and there was no hot water. I’m told the “no hot water” is typical in Kathmandu, and that would be fine if this place was priced accordingly but $75/night is WAY too much to pay for the “privilege” of splashing yourself with water you boiled in a tea kettle. My room rate was also supposed to include breakfast every day. It says so explicitly on the Expedia booking form. I was told when I arrived that this was incorrect and if I wanted food I could buy it at the restaurant. Would caution everyone that if you stay here, you are drastically overpaying - basically it is hotel prices for a hostel experience.

Reviewed By adeelakhan79Excellent experience! Lovely people! The staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. The apartment was comfortable, clean and well maintained throughout my stay. The residence is quite centrally located and is walking distance from many restaurants, offices and Patan Darbar Square. There are several grocery stores in close proximity, an excellent fruit market outside and a restaurant inside the Residence. I throughly enjoyed staying in Sarovar and will not look elsewhere when visiting Kathmandu again.

Amazing stay, you feel like home
Reviewed By Asheesh AThis is the best place for a family to stay. I felt home all the time while being here. The place is very nice and have all the facilities which a service apartment should have. All the rooms have AC, kitchen is fully equipped, your room is serviced everyday, and others which you can think off. Also since this place is on the hill, you will get a nice view of the vally. Also the air is very refreshing as compared to Thamel which is very crowed. You have access to roof top so that you can enjoy with your family and friends in the evening. The place is at a walking distance to Swayambhunath Temple and I always felt going to it again and again. You also have many grocery stores near by so that you can buy your groceries daily if you want to cook. Since we are pure vegetarians, we couldn't think of any place other than this apartment. The front desk staff is very caring and helpful. They are very quick in their response and keep their word. You don't have to tell them twice. To the management staff of the apartment, I will say good job guys and keep it up.

Hotel is in the heart of Kathmandu next to the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE - Kathmandu Durbar Square with old heritage architectural windows, doors and wood carving dated back to 200-300 years The Hotel nestles quietly in the heart of Kathmandu with restaurant serving local Newari cuisine and other continental cuisine at a very reasonable price.
Charming old home at an unbeatable location, but a bit rough around the edges
Reviewed By The Good Life WIf you want to stay close to Kathmandu's durbar square, you can't get closer than this. And if you want the feel of staying in a traditional home rather than a cookie-cutter hotel, this place is for you. You'll have to make a few compromises, though, because this comes with all the little imperfections that 'home' implies. Pros: - You can't get closer to the durbar square than this. In fact, their garden has a door opening onto the square's temple complex. - Very charming old property converted into a boutique hotel, with wooden floors and ceilings. - On clear days, you can see the snow-capped mountains from the roof. - Good food, served in a number of different seating areas: quadrangle, garden, restaurant and dining room. - Friendly and enthusiastic service staff, especially the always-smiling Sanjeeba. - 24-hour hot water in the bathroom (though you have to run the water quite a while for it to run hot) Cons: - Our room was decorated a bit like someone's home, with slightly kitsch bric-a-brac (though that added to the atmosphere, so it might be a 'pro', not a 'con' depending on your point of view) - Our room and bathroom could have been slightly cleaner. - Overall maintenance could be better - There was no phone in our room. There was one in the corridor outside, but that didn't work. We ended up having to call the reception from our own phone for room service. - It was a bit cold and drafty in our room, and the little heater didn't really warm the room properly (we visited in December). Overall, if you revise your expectations a bit, this is a nice place to stay.

Reviewed By 586yvonnebThis guest house had everything I was looking for in a budget room - a comfortable bed, hot water, and some (relative) peace and quiet! Not always easy to come by in Kathmandu, especially on a budget. It was clean, staff was helpful, no complaints!
