Almost perfect resort
Reviewed By mandms67This resort was an almost perfect place to spend a beautiful week enjoying the ocean. The resort is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and willing to assist with requests. The daily room cleaning was a nice surprise, since so many places seem to have done away with this. The unit was bright, large, well stocked with kitchen/bathroom essentials and had a perfect view of the water. The resort is located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, pharmacies, taxis, etc. The downside is the location close to bars which are open all night and play loud music until 4 am. This noise overshadowed the sounds of the waves and oceans which was desired. The other annoyance was lack of water pressure in the shower.

The hotel is very cosy, has everything you need, and you can feel the good vibes everywhere. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! Casa Azul is a Mexican casa with a large 2 bedroom apartment downstairs and an open air second floor consisting of two apartments, each with a large private balcony. One apartment is a cozy single room; the other a palapa style with a sleeping loft. All the apartments have fully equipped kitchens and private bathrooms and ceiling fans to encourage the ocean breezes. The three apartments may be rented separately or together.

Amazing View
Reviewed By spkingerCasa Romantica has breathtaking views of the Zihua Bay and Playa La Ropa. It is also the most fully furnished condo we've stayed in. Mollie even supplies floaties for use at the pools! We loved spending the day at the beach then cooling off in one of the two pools before calling it a day. The balcony was large and included a gas grill which we used several times. There are many restaurants within walking distance. If you were too tired to walk to the restaurants, just walk down to the street...buses and taxis were plentiful. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

Beautofu hotel....great place to watch cliff divers....especially with mobility concerns
Reviewed By Jim SMy wife and I decided to do independent travel with the use of a private car and licensed guide It turns out this is easy to do. Just outside of the ship terminal’s commercial area, after navigating the several guides who stationed themselves on the aisles, there is an outside desk labeled “Licensed Guide Service.” There I ask if there was a guide available for a 4-hour tour of the city who spoke English well and had an air-conditioned car for a specific price that I mentioned. There were quite a number of guides around the table and immediately there was good response. I spoke to the nearest individual and found what turned out to be a perfect fit. His full name was Jose Luciano Callejas Gonzalez, or Jose as he introduced himself. He had a very clean and well-appointed Ford Expedition and was a very experienced 30 year guide. To exit the terminal area, the guide and we had to be checked out by the officer in charge and later, upon our return, again checked it. It turns out that only guides with certificates that are used by licensed guides to enter this area are limited and the activities are tightly controlled. It was just a perfect set up and I highly recommend this method of doing independent travel. We were driven all over this beautiful city and shown from the old town to new town, including the amazing beach front with so many modern and architecturally beautiful hotels, apartments and condos. He also took us to the “Old Hollywood" of the famous Pink Flamingo hotel. He made sure we were able to see the shops in the Old Town merchant area. My wife is not as mobile as she was before reaching 80 and Jose was totally helpful to her. One of the things he did was to get us in the restricted area of the Mirador Acapulco hotel to watch the cliff divers so that she did not have to negotiate the significant stairs. The hotel Is located directly above the cliffs from which the divers jump. The view from there is superb. The charge was reasonable, only a little over $10, including a couple of drinks each... We avoided all the stairs going down to the cliffs and had a shaded nice restaurant table overlooking the entire area. My wife could not have managed the steps so this was a perfect solution. I liked Jose so much that I sent joselcallejas88 extra thanks. Fortunately, he uses Gmail so it was possible. I appreciated him so much I gave him a 50% tip and my afterthought was it probably should have been 100% for the great job he did. It was so easy to get off the ship and find an authorized guide in the well-controlled system that the city has set up. I thought lucked out to have Jose. That being said, the quality of the entire guide service was very good it seemed to me.

We have 5 condos (suites) all with beautiful views of the bay, all of them with king size beds and even some with them with jacuzzis. The perfect place to relax and see the sunset.

Perched high on the cliffs above Madeira beach, this is an authentic Mexican hotel, reasonably price with coming facilities on the spacious balconies overlooking Zihuatanejo bay. Spotlessly clean, we enjoyed our stay over the holidays. They book up fast for the holidays.
