We have visited this site a few times and stayed in various types of accommodation. They have all been very clean and well maintained. It is a quiet site without a shop or bar but it does have a small play area. The staff are friendly and the grounds are well cared for.

We’ve been to Newlands several times now and returned with a Campervan for the first time. We were in the black field. We return to Newlands for several reasons. Firstly it’s size is perfect, not a big commercialised site. It’s a nice clean well presented site. Secondly, staff. The same bar manager is working in the club house every time. All staff are professional, friendly, courteous… the list goes on. Particular mention to Darren who I borrowed some tools from with a problem. He even offered to help! I will say that the pitches at the very bottom of the site wouldn’t appeal to me but overall Newlands is a lovely, well run site. Good job guys ??

Just needs a bit of TLC

Reviewed By MrDavidMrsVickyH

We arrived at the campsite at around 2pm, directed straight to our pitch and was very disappointed when we got there. The size was great but due to the site being on the side of a hill there wasnt a level bit of ground on there so we ended up pitching sideways. The layout could be better, the hard standing pitches seem to be at the top of the hill and the camping at the bottom so our tent started to flood. If this was the other way around we would have been fine. Showers were pretty shocking and the mens toilet block was in need of of TLC with a few doors missing and showers just dribbling out. Quite ironic really as the dish washing facility has more pressure in the tap than the local fire engine. The clubhouse was ok, a bit expensive but that's to be expected. We didn't see much of the entertainment however, the magician telling kids that if their parents don't leave them money it's because they don't love them didn't seem appropriate for a kids show. On the plus side, the location is amazing and if you can stay up long enough to look up at the stars on a clear night then you are in for a treat. I don't think it's a bad campsite and I hope the negatives are just early season teething issues.

We didnt stop here but will be booking for next year but we did do activities of which this review is about. We were greeted enthusiastically by David and Elliott and the enthusiasm continued throught the activities booked. The axe throwing very well talked through and our 13 year old encouraged by David who was ace at his job. Very knowledgeable, fun and safety taken seriously. Rifle shooting again David and again enthusiasm on full throttle. So enjoyable another rifle shooting activity booked before we left. We also talked to Elliott and Steve who were more than helpful. The bar nice coffee and cake and not expensive. The whole area lovely lots of green space will definitely be visiting again. Thank you all

Fab site

On arrival a member of staff came out with a cloth bag which held information on the site, a local magazine, doggy bags and some dominoes which was a lovely surprise. We were taken to our pitch and advised of the facilities on site and their location. Loved the fact that each pitch had its own recycling box which was emptied every day. We were in the large field away from the entrance. Dog walking field was mown and generally clean - a few dog owners failed to clear up after their dog/s which is not the sites fault as they provided two large dustbins at each entrance to the area. Easy access to Weston. We walked into Banwell village and staff advised of a safe route through a field as the road does not have a pavement until further in the village. On our final night they also suggested nice places to eat and the one we picked was very nice. There is a deposit of £10 for the card entry security barrier and a fee of £9 for the electric. Within days of our arrival home we received a refund of £15.47 as they advised. Great stay and I would recommend this site.

Quite literally the Best of British….

Reviewed By E7549DHandreww

Possibly one of the best caravan parks we’ve stayed on. Having owned a caravan and been touring for six years, I can say that Woodovis is one of the best sites we’ve ever stayed at. We were on a super touring pitch with connected water and waste, (pitch 27) The summer sun shone on us all day, the super pitches are ideal. The facilities and features of the park are amazing. The pool, hot tub and sauna were immaculate and well maintained, despite being a busy half term. My daughter enjoyed the circus skills and we appreciated the activities that were arranged of an evening. We all loved the fact that Woodovis is as “green” and as eco friendly as it is, and loved reading all about it around the park - something which should be promoted and featured among more sites and parks. This is deserving of it’s five star reputation, and I will definitely be staying here in the future.

With five camping fields even in the height of summer there remains a wonderful sense of space - and you're free to pick your own pitch, whether you want to overlook Tresco Channel or the Atlantic, pitch next to your friends, or find a little corner all to yourself. The games field provides somewhere for the young ones to let off steam and meet other children.

Bryher campsite is amazing and Jo and Tom go out of their way to help out as well as being really organised and flexible. The campsite has really good and clean facilities and they don't over book so there is a feeling of space and none is on top of each other. Our kids loved the freedom and meeting up and playing with other kids in the games field.
