During our stay in Eastbourne we visited many attractions in the surrounding areas. On Friday 24th August, 2018, we decided to explore the villages and hamlets of East Sussex and Kent. In the charming small town of Heathfield we found the Aroma Diner which turned out to be a very friendly place. We ordered scones, jam and teas. It was delicious. The man who served us was very pleasant. He kindly gave us directions for the Kent and East Sussex Railway. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

Casa Da Claudia is a unique, rustic café, just off the high street in Tunbridge Wells. Serving breakfast, brunches and lunches, to beautiful cakes and pastries. We also specialise in corporate/business and event catering. The café is open 7 days a week, M
A full English for me and a panini for the hubby (it was brunch time!). My substantial brekkie all came piping hot with toast and was delicious. Hubby said his panini was lovely. Would definitely recommend and go again if in Tunbridge Wells.

The Deer Park Cafe is only a few minutes drive from Tunbridge Wells, hidden in the countryside. We stopped in for breakfast, both having cooked breakfasts for less than £10. You can taste the quality meat in the sausage and bacon, no cheap supermarket versions here! The tea is served in proper tea pots and the cake selection looks yummy. Another nice touch; we asked the staff if they knew of any walks through the deer park and they gave us printed instructions for a short one hour loop, starting and ending at the cafe. We even saw groups of deer as we walked!

Having moved to Heathfield just a week prior to visiting The Bay Tree for breakfast, we were so happy to find somewhere that does such an incredibly delicious breakfast within walking distance!Iâm quite fussy when it comes to Eggs Royale as I often like extras such as mushrooms too and the muffin has to be soft and warm and the eggs perfectly soft boiled and the hollandaise sauce nice and warm making the dish overall of a good temperature..... the lovely lady who took my order was so friendly and accommodating, she listened to how I like Eggs Royale and it actually arrived 10 times better than Iâd expected!! The Bay Tree has a lovely community feel and superb food and I would highly recommend this place :)

We visited this deli, in our high street, yesterday. After going passed many times, and liking what we saw every time.We had a great time, enjoying wonderful food. The pizza from the trailer was excellent, and then we had a sharing board. Made up of the most tasty cheeses, Italian meats, huge olives etc.Washed down with cold lager on tap, and a glass of red wine ( chosen from a good range ). Thoroughly recommend and will be returning again. Thank you very much for taking the time to review us. We look forward to welcoming you back for more of the same!

We stopped for a late breakfast middle of the week and walked in to this delightful cafe. Several locals obviously enjoyed the place and itâs no surprise because the breakfast was delicious. Good coffee and pleasant staff makes for a winning formula. They had a huge array of cakes and pastries and goodness knows what else, and I wish I had room to sample it. I hope they do really well.

01435 873378I visited this excellent cafe for lunch on Monday 18 June, and would like to write q review. William J Read
Mayfield is spoilt with nice places to eat and this cafe gives you somewhere to stop and eat a cheap bite. The takeaway prices are very good, the breakfast is good and the service is superb. It's right opposite a deli and excellent butchers so perfect if you are food shopping or just passing through. Peckish is not high end dining but that's fine, leave that to the Middle House and enjoy bubble n squeak or ham egg & chips for well under a tenner instead. You also get free wifi!

Sit-down Cafe with a shop
We went for a Christmas get together and the food was superb. We had pre ordered from the festive menu and Penny and her chef made sure everything was perfect. I had prawn and crayfish cocktail, roast rib of beef with all the trimmings and the local cheese selection washed down with a glass of rose wine. The meat and vegetables were cooked beautifully and the portions plentiful. Lovely!Thank you so much for your review, we were glad you came!

Boutique Cafe & Lifestyle shop Grocer shop & Deli Serving fantastic breakfasts, light lunches with daily specials. Delicious Cakes and afternoon tea. Everything made with love!
Came here two years ago, so thought would return. Sadly this time not as good. They were only doing a breakfast menu all day as were short staffed. I am sure sandwiches could have been doe. As a vegetarian there was nothing that I could eat, so we decided to just have coffees and go somewhere else to eat. Asked for a drinks menu but was told didn't do a drinks menu but said did not drinks like latte, flat white etc. I asked how much they were and was told about £2.40. The drinks came and were nice but the bill proved that the about £2.40 was a lot out. Not a great experience.Hi there,Gosh that is disappointing to read! We are sorry that you felt our breakfast menu was not overly vegetarian inclusive being that we offer,Roasted Vine Tomatoes and Mushrooms on Sourdough with melting Swiss CheeseOttolenghi inspired Avocado Butter on Sourdough with a fresh Tomato and Coriander SalsaSussex Charmer Cheese on ToastBelgium Waffles with Maple Syrup, Berries, Banana and Ice CreamEggs anyway, including Eggs FlorentinePeanut Butter and Banana Toasted Sandwich. We are also more than happy to make changes to any order, to accommodate you even further if you had asked. We did not want to have to close over the Summer and disappoint our lovely customers. Due to staff Summer holidays, and being that our brunch menu is so popular, we decided that our kitchen would remain open serving only our brunch menu. We are sorry you felt this was not sufficient, come September we will return to offering our lunch menu too.As to the drinks menu, we do agree that a separate drinks menu for the tables is needed as currently the coffees are only listed round by the coffee machine. We are actually in the process of getting these printed.I am sorry that our lovely Summer boy gave you a rough guide as to our coffee prices being around £2.40. For future, our coffees are priced between £2.45- £2.60.Again, we would have been more than happy to go through the prices of our coffee in more detail if needed.Thank you for taking the time to write this review, being a small business every review and comment is very important to us.We hope that your recent visit will not stop you visiting us again, where we hope to give you a more pleasant experience!Love Lucy x
