I popped in for a cappuccino and waited for 15 minutes in the queue whilst, the only two members of staff made small talk (or shall i say long talk) with practically every customer they served. Time is definitely not of the essence in that place especially with just two people on shift in the mornings. To make matters worse the empty tables were filthy and hadn't been cleared. When I asked the female staff to clear the table i wanted to sit at she stormed off in a huff and returned to wipe it clean once the red mist had settled. I was absolutely astounded as I'd never seen anything like it nor encountered such an angry member of staff . Firstly two people working during the most busiest period of the day doesn't cut the mustard. I've noticed that it's a common occurrence. Secondly the staff need to speed up especially when the place is understaffed. Fifteen minutes waiting in the queue to be served is ludricous at best. This place wouldn't last 5 minutes in many parts of the world where cafe owners take their craft seriously. Thirdly, Costa is not cheap so if i've chosen to spend my hard earned money there instead of the handful of cafes within a stone's throw then, i expect to enjoy my beverage at a clean table without attitude from the staff. What this place needs is serious competition.

Returned for dinner on a Saturday evening. Great, friendly service and delicious imaginative food (washed down with very acceptable wines!). Excellent value. We are very lucky to have this gem of a cafe/restaurant in Bookham and it deserves to be successful. We will be back!Hi, wow, thank you so so much for your amazing review! we had a disappointing experience at this cafe on Saturday morning.We went to have a nice breakfast with family but it was not somewhere we will be returning to.One of our party received his breakfast a full ten minutes before the other three were brought out.When they did arrive there were items missing from the cooked breakfast,we were told "oh those were on the old menu" The menu by the way is displayed on a board by the door!!!!There was no apology .Also there are no toilets for use on the premises in spite if food being served inside and outside at the cafe.We were told to use a nearby pub!I'm afraid we ended up laughing because it was all so awful.

I took my family to Skoops for a sweet treat and we were greeted with warm smiles and they welcomed us immediately. There is a wide variety of choice on offer and the staff were very patient with us while we pondered over what to choose. Eventually with their recommendations, we were able to choose desserts that were utterly divine - a scoop of pistachio ice cream, a scoop of ferroro roche, a malteser snack bar milkshake and a kitkat snack bar milkshake. It's a great place for friends and family to relax and have fun if you're out and about. Unfortunately, Leatherhead has been dominated by the same old and tired restaurants for donkeys years and it's fantastic to finally have something fresh and vibrant that appeals to the locals. This is my second visit here and look forward to making my way through the entire menu although my waistline won't thank me for it!

This is another of my lunchtime favourites having discovered it recently. Whenever I walk in the owner seems to be pulling some new recipe of chicken or kofta off the grill and insists on thrusting some in my hand. It's always good. His home made bread, both white and brown have always been amazing - light as could be inside with crispy not chewy crust. The sandwiches are always filled to bulging too with plenty of fresh salad available.

We went lots of times for breakfast and lunches or coffees .Everytime we had a lovely meal or drinks.the food is very tasty with an Italian twist . simpl;e and well cooked.the service is very friendly and the atmosphere very relax.Highly recommend this local cafe.

We decided to try somewhere new to eat. So we came here for a quick lunch. I ordered the tuna and mayo sandwich and my friend had a cup of tea and a panini. The food was absolutely delicious.

Regularly visit this cafe and did so again over Christmas. Staff always very friendly (the owner Rose does loads for the local community by welcoming in members of the local blind school and looking after them). The food is always superb and the menu covers everything! Great value for money and always feels like a welcoming place. Love it here.

Visited there today for a late breakfast after the gym. Were very accommodating with changes to orders and unbelievable value for money - our plates were around £6 each and we got piles of food.... could barely finish it!Only reason that this wasn't a 5 for me as the Latte wasn't great - tasted a little like the coffee beans were burnt, so very sour tasting! However, could have just been an off day. Definitely recommended and will absolutely return if we go back to the Nuffield in the future.
