The Tiny Teapot

Small tea room serving light breakfasts and lunches. Specialising in afternoon tea, with homemade scones and cakes.

Reviewed By Ardum V

The Tiny Teapot is indeed very small, but cosy. We can only confirm the positive experiences of other reviewers and visitors. Very friendly staff and the food and service was excellent. We had a (huge) Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches, scones and cake all freshly homemade. Accompagnied by a (very) large pot of tea. We certainly will come back to enjoy more. So we can only recommend the Tiny Teapot in the beautiful village of Biddenden!

Flicks Tea Room

We are a Newly refurbished Tea Room Opening 2016 .We offer Afternoon Teas using homemade produce that is baked onsite

My Husband and I went along to try flicks again. We have been several times on different days and times. Sadly there were many things not available on each occasion for different reasons. It was so disappointing as I know the quality of the food is great. Unlike other reviews I like the venue it is homely and although I do not have children they are made to feel very welcome. I would love to feel that my next visit may be more successful.Hi thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased that you like to visit the tea room. During your visit the only thing we were out of was the tart of the day, everything else was available as we went through all the flavour options with you. Chicken and Ham pie, tomato, onion and garlic pasta, roasted pepper soup , Thai veg pasty. I know you asked about the sausage rolls too but as explained they arent on the menu at the moment ..Unfortunately as everything is made in small batches for freshness, sometimes we do run out of things if lots of people order the same item off the menu, especially over the weekend with family's andGroups in ☺.We do have lots of other options available We hope to see you again soon and we have what you order .Many ThanksMichele

We found this place by accident despite being locals! The coffee and food was fantastic. We only had snacks, cheese scones followed by spiced apple cake with clotted cream but they were both superb.Menu isn’t extensive but still something delicious for everyone. The setting is beautiful in an old greenhouse.Staff and service was really good and friendly but not rushed. We will definitely be back.Thank you for your lovely review, we really appreciate it. all the best, Emma and Monty

It was hot today at Tibbles!!! It got very busy at lunchtime todayAnd the New Barista coped well....however a friend had a very burnt looking cheese scone!! She said it was a bit hard but a good taste. Personally I would not have sent that out, but as she ate it I suppose she liked the Crunchy exterior!! Otherwise the service was very friendly and courteous ...We are so pleased this venue has reopened, but let's get the scones right??!!

I was in the area for work and, having read the great reviews, wanted try one of the deli platters, but only sharing plates for two were available. I asked if I could have a scaled down version of the meat one (salamis etc) and was told no, because they were already plated up. So much for "everything is prepared from fresh after you order" as I kept hearing the waiting staff say...A couple of observations, having worked in catering myself. Firstly, I understand that margins are better on a sharing plate for 2 and have no objections to paying a bit more (proportionately) to have the same thing for one. Secondly, I understand that some dishes for sharing really cannot be scaled down - but surely that is not the case with cold meats & bread? Thirdly, I know that - at busy times - solo dinners are a mixed blessing for a restaurant, as they take up the same space as two for half the income. All that being said, there are a lot of us solo diners out there, looking for a change from boring sandwiches when travelling for work, so we are a large market. The restaurant was 2/3 empty during my visit. The message I got from today was that you were not interested in my custom or in making a small effort to accommodate me, or other solo diners. That's your decision, of course, but I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense from a business point of view. For the sake of 2 minutes to take a few slices of salami off a platter, you could have had a regular customer, instead of one who won't be back.Thank you for your feedback which we always welcome although we are very sorry to hear you were not entirely satisfied. There must have been a slight misunderstanding as our food is certainly not plated up but the portions of food are weighed and portioned up in advance, then sealed to keep them fresh and handy to use when needed. The portions for our sharing platters are for 2 people and if we split them we are left with single portions which we have found in the past can result in waste. Our extensive menu includes wraps, jacket potatoes, open sandwiches, soups and salads as well as just 2 sharing platters. All these dishes contain a selection of our smoked foods. We have many solo customers as well as larger groups - all customers are extremely welcome!

Heath stores is on the village green in Horsmonden and next door to The Gun and Spitroast pub. It has won numerous awards and been nominated as a finalist in the UKs best small shop awards.Although the prices may be a little more than the supermarkets, my view is that I'm happy to pay for the convenience. In any case, I probably save more by supporting my local shop than I would driving to the nearest superstore!Add to this that there are always special offers, local produce, free-tastings and friendly staff, and it's hard to see why you'd shop anywhere else.

The Little Bull Cafe & Bar

Cafe and bar in the village of Brenchley, Kent. Serving brunch, lunch, cakes and evening pop up events. Open Friday evenings for drinks. Locally sourced ingredients and freshly made food.

I'd been meaning to pop in since its new ownership and yesterday the opportunity arose, as I was working in the area. It's a lovely little place, a fine fireplace, smart well-stocked 'bar', clean and just nicely decorated; with barely 20 'covers' it wouldn't take much to fill. A coronation chicken sandwich and a great cup of coffee hit the spot for lunch. In fact I liked it so much I went back today and had a particularly delicious croque monsieur washed down with a really good glass of red wine (well it was Friday)! Staff were friendly, the service prompt and the prices reasonable. I'll be back for sure.

We had been recommended this cafe and first impressions were good: a combination cafe / antiques shop. However, there was some confusion when we tried to order a gluten free filling for a jacket potatoe. We were told the mayonnaise in the tuna mayonnaise filling was not gluten free (fair enough) when my wife ordered a chicken and bacon filling the chicken came in the same mayonnaise so had to be returned (not mentioned on the menu except with reference to sandwiches). Fair enough some chicken without mayonnaise was made available. Unfortunately the jacket potato was microwaved and was over cooked. I had the standard breakfast which was spoilt by the fact that both the bacon and the sausage were over cooked. The sausage was rock hard. I did mention this to the waitress ( and I very rarely complain) and we were given our hot drinks free of charge to compensate for the mess-ups, thanks for that. Sorry guys but a disappointing visit.

A friend and I met here for lunch and coffees. The cafe has things you can buy as part of it (napkins, crackers, stationery etc) but the main area is for the customers of the cafe. There’s a good range of delicious looking cakes, including gluten free options, but a very limited lunch menu. We both had a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese which was excellent. The bagel was warm and the salmon was tasty. It was a good choice! The staff were friendly. I’d recommend it as a lunch spot.

Absolutely love the food and the staff were all super friendly.Food is well prepared and there is plenty of it, no scrimping or half filled sandwiches from this tea room. Brilliant value for money. Great selection on food and drink, fresh bread, lovely cream teas and bakery cakes. Will definitely be taking more friends and family there.
