We had one full day in the Fuji area and decided to take the Morning and Afternoon Goriki Bus Tour. It was the perfect choice. We were brought to key locations surrounding Mt. Fuji with spectacular views and photogenic opportunities. We were greeted at each stop by a helpful and gracious guide who gave us tour of the sight. The bus driver was a true gentleman, coordinating our connection with the guides at each stop. We concluded the tour feeling we had a immersive, fulfilling experience.

4 of us signed up for the tour online. All was fuss free. In fact we were lucky enough to be part of their 30000 customer celebration and witnessed Japanese omotenashi hospitality at its best. Staff waved us goodbye the Japanese way, with a delightful goodie bag. The actual tour is totally dream like (as what's on internet). Best part is both Japanese and English guides are meticulous and good. We had great insights about what we see in Nagoya and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Never thought about using the bus service in my planning of the trip out to Shizuoka. We stayed at Mishima as out starting and ending point driving out to the Izu peninsula. Stumbled upon a poster at Mishima train station saying that a double pass to Shinjuku will cost 1750 yens per person and took less than 2 hours. Our bullet train trip out costed double that amount and the time was not much faster. It was perfect for us as our next hotel was in Shinjuku. The bus was comfortable, there is toilet at the back and the only downside is that you cannot walk about during the trip! Worth considering as one of the options.
