Explore the city's temples, palaces, and the remnants of its French colonial history. Just outside the city, the The Killing Fields (Choeung Ek) are a reminder of Cambodia's tragic past-- a somber contrast to the booming city of today.

Located just a short drive and ferry trip across the Mekong River, Silk Island is like stepping back in time. For those looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh. With farmers busy working the rich fertile soils and villages with traditional housing the island provides a fascinating look at Cambodian life removed from the western influences. The center pieces of the tour are a visit to the working silk farm the island is named for and the unique Coconut School run by local volunteers and built from recycled material and what many think of as rubbish.

Nothing was too much thought out the trip and he was always checking in on everyone to ensure they where ok and if he could do anything to make their trip even better. The accommodation through out the whole tour was really good! My fav of all was Khao Sok national park, you literally wake up on floating bungalows to the most amazing views ever! The best thing about this trip was there was no hidden extras! All the activities where included and we got more meals than I expected included too. The private speedboat trip in Koh Phi Phi was the highlight for me! Thank you Intro Travel and Jay for such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do Bali next year with you!

Oudong, located in Kampong Speu Province, is a small town 40km northwest of Phnom Penh. It is called Oudong Meanchey. It served as the capital of Cambodia under several sovereigns between 1618 and 1866. It is now a place of pilgrimage for Cambodian’s and has many local visitors during religion celebrations. You must have a suitable level of fitness to undertake this tour as you are required to climb to the summit of a hill to visit the newest addition to Phnom Oudong, which is a modern temple home to a Buddha relic, previously housed in Phnom Penh. The attraction here is not just the stupa but also the breathtaking view over the surrounds. You can also interact with and feed the monkeys who live in large numbers here.

Our guide Li was great, knowledgable but not pushy with the information. Best part of the tour was probably the tuk tuk ride through the market. Also enjoyed seeing the monks at the temple - very surprised when the head monk asked us for a photo. He then showed us various selfies with other tourists (got the impression not many go to see them). Actually didn't see any other tourists all day, which was different!!! A bit of a shame that most Temples were only built in the last 20 or so years as Pol Pot essentially destroyed everything. But we did see one that was 700 years old and what made it more special was that a hermit had just arrived a few days earlier for a pilgrimage to the temple.

Phnom Prasith and Phnom Reap Temples are located approximately 25 kilometers from Phnom Penh. The journey itself offers views of natural lakes, rice fields, traditional houses and locals going about their daily lives. Phnom Prasith is situated on the top of a hill providing breathtaking views of the surrounding country side. The temple is on the eastern summit of two hills and visitors will enjoy the rich architecture, stupas, sculptures and art works including a large reclining Buddha reaching nirvana. A short journey back down the hill leads you to Phnom Reap temple or alternatively named Prasat Vihear Suor. It is a relatively new structure finished in 1998. It follows the architectural style of Angkor Wat and is often called the New Angkor Wat. You will enjoy beautiful sculptures of ancient kings and Buddha. Many local people make the pilgrimage to seek good luck and blessings from the monks.

We started our tour at the war museum. It was really good and informative. You learn a lot about the Khmer Rouge and what they did. It is a horrible story, but very interesting if you like history. The tanks, weapons, grenades and the helicopter was really cool to see in person. The killing fields was disappointing. The only thing to see are the monument with skulls, which is pretty dark and really reminds you how bad this war was to the Cambodian people. The Artisans Angkor was so cool. You really get to see how they make sculptures with stone, tree and other materials. Really worth a visit! Overall, I would recommend this trip to everyone who visit Siem Reap.
