The churchyard described as ‘the most beautiful in the world’ is just that. A palm filled tropical woodland with green moss and fern it winds down the hill of tiered graves of beautiful calligraphy and Celtic crosses. Wirth taking time to meander through. At the bottom is this small picturesque church steeped in history on the waters edge . So atmospheric and peaceful it was a truly magical setting that made you want to linger soaking in every bit . Truly memorable and a joy to see. Then head on up the slope for a slap up cream tea at Mrs T’s at the top. PERFECT afternoon!

perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea this is really worth a visit for all garden lovers, tropical trees and succulents among statues and other more colourfull plants, there is a lovely little shop too with realistic prices.

Absolutely phenomenal value for money and wonderful way to spend a few hours. We visited the brewery on a rainy Tuesday with very little expectation and were delighted to find a warm and friendly staff to greet us with a pint awaiting. The quality of the beer is beyond reproach and both the tour guide Louise (the daughter of the CEO no less) and the barman, Jason were flawless. By far the best value for money of any distillery or brewery tour I have ever done. Cannot recommend enough.

Definitely a unique experience visiting Llama Land. After mistakenly arriving at the wrong farm 200 yards away, we called Tom who directed us to the entrance. Seems its a common issue, but one he is looking to resolve. Tom introduced himself and set out the plan for the 3 hour experience. He then led us to the main barn where the Llamas were waiting patiently. He passionately explained the names and personalities of each llama and tried to match you up for the walk with a llama that fitted your personality and confidence with handling the animals. On the lovely cross-country walk (wellies or good walking boots advised!) we were kept entertained by our own and each others llama's - as well as Tom's amusing stories! After the walk, we were taken to another section of the farm to meet the other female llamas and the baby ones, and spent some time learning about the breeding and their names and habits - Tom is clearly very passionate about what he does. After this we were led to a larger barn, which is clearly being converted into a cafe/picnic area where he had laid on sandwiches, salads, scones and other snacks - all included in the price. It was a brilliant 3 hours, and although initially we had wondered about the price tag, Tom works really hard to make sure you get value for money. It would be great to see this experience grow but hopefully also retain it's unique feel. Thanks Tom!

we were staying just up the road and wondered where this road ended. what a find!!!! parked free as we are NT membrs and took the walk to the bird hide and enjoyed all the views on the way. an excellent opportunity to take in some Ww2 history and the best views possible

Set just outside St Mawes this castle built on behalf of Henry VIII was intended to stop invaders and pirates from invading the upper reaches of the river estuary. Later the French and then Germans were the main threat and so this castle and Pendennis Castle on the other side of the Estuary controlled these waters with their artillery for many years. There are many steps and the castle is structured over a number of layers to provide gun platforms for controlling that side of estuary. Lots of hand rails and safety guards. Excellent toilet facilities and shop run by English Heritage. Lots of benches for sitting and admiring the views and ideal for picnics.
