We made the right decision to visit this place before visiting shefa utaki( anth UNESCO site). Such a calm and laZy fishermen town gray served fantastic tempura and local sashimi that’s freshly caught. We went on a glass boat trip to see the nearby fishes and corals . The boat ride is around 20-30 mins or so . Because the weather was so fantastic we get to see many diff types of fishes and Corals . If you are looking for a less touristy place , do go in the later afternoon as it’s less packed.

I really had a blast here so I started out by watching a crazy snake show , watched a sea snake and mongoose race in water which came in handy while in the ocean and being on this island. Then we walked I into an underground cave which was cool compared to outside( good break for kids ) the walk was about a mile I think . Then popped out of cave and wound through this shopping local village displaying local art and specialities. ( local alcohol sampling=feeling good shopping. Then after all the shopping I got my feet nibbled on by fish . So many options not even talking about all the food we got and souvenirs.

Sefa-Utaki

Reviewed By Cyber0515 - Tokyo, Japan

At the moment you entered this site, you'll straighten your spine. As much as it will be with nature, I think that there is a spiritual atmosphere here. Just by touching historical sites and rocks, you may feel the human prayers spanning hundreds of year. Regardless of age, race or nationality, we should take a quiet walk here. You should think that this place is never the place to visit for the pleasure-seeking. Most of the walkways are stone paths, some of them are slippery steep slopes. You should use easy walking shoes.
