I felt as though I had been safely warmed within a cocoon of authentic immersion in both a culture and a way of life. Kerala was the perfect introduction for my first trip to India.   My celestial herbalism group of ten traveled from multiple countries and gathered for a two week retreat to incorporate a deeper connection of our Vedic teachings while engaging with Greens Aryuveda,  which offered both practical information for anyone wanting to immerse into the formulation of herbal preparations for panchakarma along with a physical awareness and invitation to honor one's life and connect with the divine practice and healing benefits of it.  The support and care shared by the doctors, teachers, and staff is forever etched in my spirit. The hands on LIVE  herbal preparation classes with Pharmacist  Vaidya Karuna and his staff was truly a  highlight of interpretation and helped synergize the alchemy and transformation of my experience.    Dr Ashina's teaching and translation of  our daily  pharmacology/herbal studies were taught in bite size pieces and  were totally digestible. Her attention to my personal clinical goals and panchakarma treatments, along with my therapists Swathi and Alina, were a comfort of reassurance and utmost professionalism throughout my stay.  The morning yoga classes with  Deepthi helped me to realign my physical challenges of my body and become more integrated with the theory of yoga while teaching my heart, mind, and spirit the art of breath and mantra. OM Shanti ,Shanti , Shanti Dr Asghar and the entire staff from the nutrition, housekeeping, boutique, pharmacy, security, car service, and please excuse me if I missed any other department, sincerely  have a true gift of weaving  together their knowledge, wisdom, and guidance which have all helped me realign my body's aches and pains, as well as  my mind and spirit. It is now three months post discharge (my visit was in October 2019)  and still taking my Aryuvedic medicine for my joint and hip pain and I am so grateful for the continued relief,  but sooooo missing everyone's smiles along with my daily body treatments  with my therapists ~♡~     Dr Asghar, along with the gracious Rinu Fathima Sarjina have formed a gem of a program within a beautiful community in Kerala. I highly recommend it.  Suzanne Barroso Miami USA Aromatherapist- Distiller- SkinCareSpecialist

Tali Temple

Reviewed By EatTravelStay

Tali temple worships Lord Siva, a great peaceful place, known to be powerful god, the temple is busy at times. We visited at around 7:00 PM on a Saturday. Being pooja time, we could get darshan very well, it was a very pleasant and soothing experience. Luckily we got to see the elephant with Golden Nettipattam (Nettipattam is a glittering ornament that adorns the forehead of an elephant) and Thayambaka (Chenda beating by group of performers) and also theyyams (performers dressed like god and dancing to rhythm). We enjoyed a lot. Overall a must visit for believers and tourists.

Thusharagiri Waterfalls

Reviewed By 962967 - Chennai (Madras), India

Thusharagiri waterfalls is an excellent falls we have visited in November 2019. After the heavy rains, there's plenty of water flowing through the falls, which is a good news for water-lovers and people who bathe in falls. Also we were lucky enough to get there at this time with no rains and only a nice cool weather. The entry tickets are given after 8 a.m. and allowed to go inside after 8.30. A small trek for about 1 km leads you to the first falls. The very look at the falls and the surrounding forest is breathtaking. People who love to immerse in the water should be ready for an ice-freezing experience. Since the falls flows through the forest, the herbs and medicinal plants surely do have an impact on the water flowing. So it's really good to bathe in this water. Thusharagiri - a completely lovely and lively experience for our family ! A must- visit place for all who come down to wayanad!

Sargaalaya is an Arts & Crafts Village established by the Kerala tourism department. It is located just off the main Kozhikode Kannur National Highway in Iringal in a 20 acre area. We visited this village during our recent trip to Kerala while driving from Kozhikode to Kannur. The complete complex is built using laterite rock which gives it a unique look. It has a huge number of stalls selling various ethnic crafts and it also houses the Crafts Design and Technology Development Centre, which provides training for craftsmen to learn new techniques in traditional handicrafts. Some of stalls are very unique and nearly all stalls are outlets for sale of the products on display. The annual International Arts & Crafts Festival is held here from 20th Dec to 05th Jan every year, which attracts artisans from all over the world to register. It is also the biggest handicraft fair of South India. The village is located on the banks of the Moorad River and has recreational boating facilities of rowing and paddle boats. The place is a must visit for anyone driving by.

This is one of the very few beaches in Kerala which is rich in historical significance. This is where the explorer Vasco De Gama anchored his ships in the year 1498. This beach is situated 16 km from Kozhikode, and will involve a beautiful journey through the backwaters of Kozhikode. The waters of Kappad are ideal for swimming. Also at the place can be found an 800 year old temple.
