The "New Normal" and a "New World" we are living in, but somethings just don't go away, for a person like me, its "travelling and exploring" . Since this pandemic started, people like me have been locked inside and working from home, the routine has just been, work, bed, back to work. I really wanted to break those shackles and wanted to have a break, a vacation, but not a "Sightseer" kind, rather a place I can have peace and really, "Do Nothing". As most of us do, research before you travel, and in these times, you really should do a thorough one. I won't go into the details but I found this property to be almost ticking every box. Due to loads of checking, a landslide causing a de-tour, took me 17 hours from Delhi, and reached at 10 PM. The owner, Mr. Panki Sood, was well connected with me on phone since the booking was done, which did help in getting more information, over and above a thought , someone is waiting for you Once reached, was happy to see that they are serious of following health norms, my stuff sanitized, temp check done, shoes to be taken off outside, and get my Covid test negative certificate. Also, for the first 3 days, good social distancing was maintained which does give a confidence, that they are serious in keeping themselves and the visiting guests safe. Spent few days just inside the property and loved the food, the views, the sound of the river which is practically touching the property. They have a dedicated kitchen which prepares homely food and hey, they take special requests, so if you want some good fish, non-veg dish or any local delicacy, just ask for it They also have a bonfire place and a good seating arrangement at different places where one can read a book or just relax. They also have a stream of fresh water, which I just loved. Having lived few days in trekking and tenting on remote hills, i know that these natural water stream have the best thing you can give to your body, purest form of water. Mr. Panki runs a school which is located just next to the property and in these difficult times, he is giving it back to the society by ensuring that local kids get what they need in that age, he also arrange volunteer session and virtual session for online studies. I really want to thank him for giving me an opportunity to talk to those kids and conduct a session through which I shared some of my own life experiences and take some lessons from the kids too To just close with the essence, this property gives you peace of mind over and above everything else you would like to be in your travel plans, along with those minutest details which brings a smile and make you thing, right choice made.

We chose Hotel Rainbow Inn for staying at Kasol during 01-02/03/21. Receptionist Tenzing, a tiny Himachali girl impressed us greatly by her pleasant and helpful behaviour. There was live music and bonfire in the evening. We were satisfied very much with the facilities provided at the hotel, mountain views from the hotel balcony, the sounds of the Parvati river while resting on the bed. Way to Chalal village begins from the door step of Hotel Rainbow Inn, Kasol. Thanks and blessings to Tenzing - Subrata Sarkar, Midnapore

Prashar Lake

Reviewed By vidyakr321 - Kerala, India

Prashar lake winter trekking ❤️ The on-foot excursion to Prashar Lake is among the most popular treks in Himalayas due to its moderate difficulty level and scenery en route. When done in winters, the journey to this about 9000-feet high pond becomes even better as snow dominates the landscape all around. The Prashar Lake winter trek begins from the bus stop in Baggi village, leading you along numerous scissor bends. During the hike, you will be required to scale several ridges and moderately high peaks, from where you will get clear views of the great Himalayan Mountains. Another highlight of the Prashar Lake trek is that it leads you through dense forests of pines and deodars, where you may get a chance to see the regional wildlife. Though the elevation of the lake is just 9000 feet and the difficulty level of the hike is easy, the winter season and snow might pose a bit of a challenge. Pack good-quality woollens, shoes with spikes, sunglasses, sunscreen and walking sticks (if required) for an enjoyable Prashar Lake snow trek.

Beas River

The Beas River also known as the Biás or Bias, is a river in north India. The river rises in the Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh, India, and flows for some 470 kilometres to the Sutlej River in the Indian state of Punjab.

Reviewed By ama89pro - LaSalle, Canada

We thoroughly enjoyed our white water rafting excursion on the Beas River from the Nature Park in Jhiri. It was our first time doing this activity. But, our guide was fantastic and went above and beyond his duties to make sure that were safe and, above all, create and record an exciting memory of a lifetime! Set right in between stately mountains on either side of the river, our 12km rafting was absolutely thrilling and breath-taking, enhanced by sights of glorious eagles soaring just above us! Definitely a must for all! Be prepared to be in awe of God's endless beauty in creation!
