Reviewed By goingtochina73Our stay in Wuzhen water town was such a special experience! We had a great "family room" which was actually two bedrooms, 3 beds and a bathroom. It was our kids favorite hotel of the trip! The breakfast was expansive and the location was perfect. they "ferry" your luggage from the front desk to your guest house, and ferry it back on boats, so you don't need to carry it through the town. This is a MUST SEE place and staying in the water town just makes it so much more special!

Reviewed By JUNELAUSCDidn't stay in the hotel. Instead, had lunch here with family members. The dining room is very spacious and clean. The staff are attentive and friendly. Actually, I was impressed by the full height bookshelves. Wondering what type of books are kept here. Could easily spent a day at one corner of the cafe, with a book and a cup of good drink.

Wuzhen- the ancient water town
Reviewed By somnath dIf you want to see authentic water towns of ancient China, you must visit Wuzhen. Take a bus from shanghai south railway station- it is called long distance bus station and often labelled as shanghai coach station. Prebook your seats since this route is heavily booked. Shanghai to Wuzhen is 2 hour journey. From Wuzhen take a local bus K350 to reach the scenic areas. East side called dongza is more authentic. West side is more developed. I stayed in jinhanghe inn, which is situated between the east and west zone. The owner is very kind and can arrange for free pick up and drop. The family has someone who can communicate in english over phone. The phone numbers are available from ctrip local china site. This hotel to east side back gate entry is 10 minute walk. You need to go to your right after leaving the hotel and follow the river course till you reach a stone bridge. Cross it and you will be in the east area. From the hotel if you left and walk for 5 minute you will reach the west zone entry.

Our host was a delight she met us when we arrived in the street showed us to to our fabulous room with a glass Balcony on the water thr room was big bed was so comfortable. We had Chinese tea and local candy on Arrival complements of the Establishment . After or trip in Wuzhen was at an end sadly, The lady of the house sorted a taxi bike for us to head to the bus. Please visit this property its perfect 100% in every way location clean fresh and welcoming. Kind regards Trevor from Ireland.

Great owner who looks after his place

The location is good, closer to the small old town Dongzha (east village) but within walking distances of Xizha (west village). Rooms are modern and quirky with cool gadgets like smart toilets, the breakfast is simple but very good. Guests share a large breakfast table in the small lobby which may sound strange to some but it works here. The grounds are beautiful with great, pool, and antiques. The best part though is the owner and his staff who go out of their way to make guests’ stay pleasant.

No frill budget hotel
Reviewed By LG_KayHotel is about 600m from the Xizha entrance. First walk 300m to the main Huanhe Road (环河路), turn left and walk 300m to hotel. The hotel is not obvious, as all the units along the main road are identical in design. Look out for unit no. 442 to 446. There are many restaurants and a few convenience shops along the main road. Room is spacious, bed is large and comfortable. Basic amenities are available - Wi-Fi, TV, air-con, water boiler, slippers, basic bathroom toiletries, clean towels. If you intend to stay outside of Wuzhen water town, recommend to stay here if you are budget conscious.

超值选择
Reviewed By fion1107万宝座客栈在乌镇景区外，东栅西栅的正中间，往两边走基本都在10分钟的步行距离，相当便利。周边的特产超市很多，都可以买到比景区里更便宜的特产。客栈老板人超好，我们是从杭州坐大巴过去的，他开车去车站接我们，离开时还给我们指点了接下来的行程怎样安排比较好。 我们定的是有电脑的房间120块一晚，网速还不错，如果不需要上网还会更便宜一些。 房间里有空调，卫生什么的都没有问题，还提供洗发水沐浴液。 客栈附近也有几家吃早点的小店，其中有一家很小的面馆口味特别好，据说是面王的后代，偶遇一个当地的食客还跟我们推荐了半天，他走后老板告诉我们那个人本身也是开饭馆的但是总到他家吃~~ 乌镇西栅的夜景很漂亮，我们去的时候是淡季，人非常少，但是景色一点不逊色，我个人觉得10月11月还不算太冷又人少的时候去世最好的选择。
