A MAGICAL PLACE IN A BEAUTIFUL TOWN
Reviewed By SeattleBinniScilla is a charming and picturesque spot, and B&B La Veduta is the perfect base to enjoy it from. As others have said, this is a spotlessly clean small accommodation with just three rooms, one atop the other above a ground floor kitchen and breakfast area. All three rooms have the same floor plan, with comfortable balconies directly above the water affording a stunning view out to the sea and up and down the coast…nice chairs with cushions. The sound of the water lapping at the shore as we went to sleep was wonderful! Each room has a spacious private bath across the hall…the stairwell bisects the building. We were on the top floor which featured a lovely wooden ceiling that angled upwards making the room feel quite spacious. But any of the rooms would be lovely. What really made our three-night stay special was our hosts. Nella is a warm and engaging person who is clearly proud of her business and town. She claims her English is not good, but she loves to chat and manages to communicate a lot in a charming combination of Italian, English, and French. The breakfast served here is the best: a nice assortment of meat, cheese, and breads plus lovely fresh fruit and wonderful home-made tarts and cakes. Nella is a great baker! They went the extra mile for us: on our last night, when we asked if a cab could be ordered to take us in the morning to nearby Villa San Giovanni to catch a passenger ferry to Messina in Sicily, Nella insisted Michelle take us. So nice! In the town, we loved both wine bars that are just down the street from La Veduta and there’s a lot of great seafood to be had in the restaurants all along the water. We also enjoyed a meat-centric meal in the “upstairs” part of the town at a restaurant called Osteria del Centro. We shared the vitello tonnato as a first course and it was perfectly prepared.

Reviewed By rita fThe room was very clean. Hygienic bathroom fully equipped. We went in winter the place was very warm. I loved the furniture, very ergonomic and relaxing. Very rich and tasty breakfast. The owner is very welcoming, modest and was very helpful in telling us about the point of interests of the area. I would definitely stay there again!

Breakfast was simple but tasty. Overall the price was more than fair. The location couldn’t be more central without being noisy. But what makes the Krataiis exceptional is owner Francesca, her management team and all the staff: they are friendly and helpful to a fault. This is the place to stay in Scilla.

Reviewed By Vesna Rthis tiny hotel lies next to the sea in this charming fishing area of scilla. we could not drive to the hotel. but the owner picked us up with a golf cart. the are only few rooms in the b@b but each is lovely. the stairs are quite narrow. you have to have no problems with knees. the only problem with our room was the key. whick stuck in the door and you had to turn it in a special way to get it out. breakfast is in another building.

Recentissima creazione del desiner Fabio Aloi, che ha scelto uno stile contemporaneo, le camere propongono colori neutri ed una mobilia total white in contrapposizione ai toni caldi dei soffitti in legno, il tutto impreziosito da illuminazione a led. Il massimo del confort è offerto grazie ai nuovi materassi in strato di memory foam, lenzuola di finissimo cotone satinato, spugne morbide ed avvolgenti, prodotti di cortesia della linea Pascal Morabito e ciabattine in omaggio. Non mancano certamente aria condizionata, TV a schermo piatto, riscaldamento, cassaforte, minibar, asciugacapelli e campanello d'emergenza.
