Reviewed By Leigh_WhitworthI stayed here for four nights whilst doing some hiking around Xela. The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the main square, bars and restaurants. It’s very quiet which is lovely and the rooms are comfortable and practical. Plenty of space for my things. There was a small TV in the room and excellent WiFi. Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. Microwave, kettle, free drinking water, oven, fridge, etc. As I was making sandwiches to eat whilst hiking the lady placed name labels in the fridge to identify my things. Excellent and well recommended choice.

Reviewed By ZuurstokjeAmazing hostal, run by the most friendly persons! We loved every bit of our stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, so are the kitchen and other facilities. The owners are really helpful and know a lot about things to do in Xela and Guate in general. Definitely recommend staying here! Voor de dutchies: vergeet vooral niet om stroopwafels mee te nemen! Ze zijn er dol op! :-)

Reviewed By 632francesclOn 16 November 2019 I made a booking for room 9 for 27-28 January 2020 through Casa Elizabeth’s own website. This reservation was confirmed by e-mail by both Mario Herrera and Silvana Contreras. Fast forward to 27 January 2020. After a long trip from Flores via Guatemala City I arrive at Casa Elizabeth and you can guess what happened! My twice-confirmed reservation was nowhere to be seen. Fortunately, I had a printed copy of it to prove to them that indeed I had made a booking. A couple of phone calls later I am given room number 5 (very dark and lots of traffic noise, like all rooms in the ground floor). Moraleja: I would totally give this place a miss until they get the basics right.

A home'y vibe in the middle of the City
Reviewed By 151chaysemEven though we visited during COVID times (in July 2021) the hotel still had such a charming vibe. The hospitality was on par. The location is wonderful. And the terrace is BEAUTIFUL! I hope to revisit post covid! Alejandra, one of the clerks, was so sweet. She helped organize a massage for us and was very accommodating!

Lovely bed and breakfast in a quiet neighborhoood
Reviewed By Cynthia CThis B&B is located about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the central park in a quiet residential neighborhood. The area is very clean and felt safe. I asked the owner if it was safe to walk there at night and she said "before 9 PM." The one night I stayed out 'til nine, I took a taxi back from the central park and it cost just 25 quetzales without tip, about $3.35 US. The Casa is a classic colonial building with beautiful furnishings and art work. The bed was comfortable & warm, the water hot with good pressure, the wifi was good, and so was the included breakfast (3 options). The common area for relaxing/dining is full of plants and their huge Doberman, Capitan, is friendly and makes one feel secure there!

Reviewed By nrajic2003I stayed here only for one night before my Tajumulco hike. The location is great, stuff friendly. They did a small laundry load for just 15Q. It's really basic and if your budget allows, you may want to go for something more expensive. Hotel could get some updates but it was clean, bed was comfortable, filtered water is free and location is excellent. I wasn't crazy about the shower, but it's similar to many places in Guatemala. All in all, given the price it was a good choice.

B & B Villa de Don Andres is a small hotel located one block from Central Park Quetzaltenango. In the historic center of the beautiful city of Los Altos . It is located in a beautiful house with lots of history and where details make the difference , it's a safe and quiet place in a familiar environment . We have eight themed rooms in honor of Quetzaltenango, single, double , triple, quadruple . All have private bathrooms and hot water. With services : room - breakfast , wifi , laundry. We support the community with selling crafts and regional food group classes .
I found it to be the best place for the price.
Reviewed By TriciaK2Such a nice friendly hotel. The staff were always smiling and helpful, the place was very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfasts and one block from Central Park. I was here in February for over a week and quite cold in the mornings as no heat, but that's typical. I had a room next to the one way narrow street, bit noisy weekday mornings for an hour or so but nothing that really bothered me. Two nice outdoor patios that get plenty of sun. I would stay again.
