Dropped the Ball
Reviewed By T SCheck-in was handled poorly. We did not meet Jan until the second night at which time we were checked in. We had to get all pertinent information from other guests upon arrival. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the room was clean. Location was close to town and supermarkets. Fifteen minute walk from the train station. The biggest drawback was that the temperature in the room was "miserably" hot. There was no circulation of outside air due to the location of the room. The crisp cool night air never made it into our room even with the window open 24/7. A fan would have made a big difference. Definitely cannot recommend this place and would not stay here again.

A Great Boutique Hotel Stay
Reviewed By Jamboy34The Villa Zauber Hotel is located in Poprad, Slovakia. I recently stayed there four nights and it was a great experience. It’s a boutique style hotel with eight rooms. It’s very updated and modern looking with all the amenities you could expect. I choose the Villa Zauber because it was within a 10 minute walking distance to both where I was working and a lot of good restaurants. The staff was very nice and the check-in/check-out process was quick and easy. My only caution is that it’s close to the main rail line so if you’re a light sleeper, this may bother you.

Nice B&B in Poprad
Reviewed By ivtimA nice family-run property located in between downtown Poprad and Spišská Sobota. It was a fairly easy commute, however, it might be even more convenient if you have a car. The place itself is a cottage with a few rooms and a nice hall/dining room with a lovely fireplace. There was a good bunch of people sitting there with tea, which makes me think that this facility could be one of the deal-breakers for choosing this place instead of any other. The room I stayed in had a teapot and cups (no sugar or tea or coffee were provided). I was also able to get a hairdryer (on request from the owner of the guesthouse). The breakfast was served in the morning, eggs cooked to order. In my opinion, it was a good one. I definitely recommend choosing the option WITH breakfast when booking. Improvements: 1. Add tea/coffee/sugar to the teapot. 2. Add Shampoo/shower gel to the bathroom.

Nice place to stay in Poprad
Reviewed By Manuela KWe stayed a few nights in this guesthouse in Poprad. Check In was ok. We had a deluxe studio suite with a kitchenette and balcony. The room itself was new and clean. The bed was comfortable - we would have liked to have the chance to switch the bedlights on each side on and off separately. The TV has only a few english channels and no german channels. The bathroom was great. Towels are changed every three days. There is parking available. Breakfast is served by choice either at 7:30, 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. It is buffet style, available are bread, toast, cheese and cold cuts, tomatoes, cucumber and pepper, yoghurt, orange nectar, eggs (daily varied fried, scrambeld, sometimes boiled), cake, some fruit and cereals, coffee and tea in a thermos jug.

Reviewed By Teri Michaela HGlad to make this choice, whilst visiting Poprad. Accommodation is in a quiet residential area. Staff was super supportive, always there to listen and accommodate. Breakfast was well varied, fresh and tasty. I really like the cozy décor and fireplace near the bar. Loved the room, bathroom, warm water anytime of day or night ;-) and of course the sauna. Reviewed By raduzd2017A brandy new luxury small hotel in Poprad. The hotel has sufficient free parking in yard. The room was large, with design furniture. Breakfast was served partially on order, which is a great extra service. We used Bolt to get to the city. Great hotel.

Reviewed By Zdenicka2020Pension Borievka in Spisska Sobota, near Poprad (please note that this is not in city of Poprad, but in a nearby village called Spisska Sobota) Experience: Lady owner shouting at guests to get out off the property: Stressing them out. This was just before check-out, when it was aroud 11.45 am and the check-out supposed to be at 12 (noon). The lady owner first SHOUTED at my children to get out their room, they came rushing to our room to report this to me (we paid for 2 double rooms) rather stressed. Then she came to my and my parther's room to tell us to get out, that she has others guests coming. When we left, she did not even replied to our 'Good bye'. We even forgot expensive phone charger there, since we were rushing to leave this horrid place. Very, very dissapointed.!!!! The place is very basic and the location is fine under the circumstances that you have a car or prepare to walk to the main city and attractions . Nevertheless, the lady owner's attitude is not fine at all ! I also did not feel comfortable there, since you - guests- stay at 2nd floor, where small rooms are, and the lady owner occupies and lives at the 1st floor. I went around 6am to open the room door and she was standing right there, at the corridor. Got a fright a bit. She asked me why I am awake already? Paid cash ( in EURos) up front at the arrival, paid for 3 nights, for 2 double rooms, however I wish to pinpoint the receipt was not issued for us. I love Tatras and the area around Poprad, since it has a very beautiful nature. However, will never stay again in this pension Borievka in Spisska Sobota and would never recommend it to anyone. The whole trip was spoiled due to the attitude towards the guests, which was on my opinion, dreadful and felt as 'Big brother is watching you' type of experience. I worked in the hospitality industry myself for decades. Therefore, I understand what the welcoming and kind care and hospitality should be like. Did NOT experienced it here . It is average to cheap, but would not recommend to anyone due to the attitude.

Z hotelu je i krásný výhled na Tatry jen snad jediná věc která malinko vadila že je blízko jedné hlavní silnice.pak je tu navíc super majitel. Se vším poradil, zařídil a zajímal se. Opravdu spokojenost a hotel doporučuji.

Reviewed By Nomad580655You must stay at this hotel; it’s absolutely wonderful! The staff and owner are the best. They are so friendly and go out of their way to help anyway they can. Amazing food at the bistro and the modern decor is fabulous. The rooms are so clean and well kept. It’s an easy 15 min walk from the bus and train station. Just stay here, it will make your trip complete. Ďakujem Hotel & Bistro 63! ?
