Reviewed By 233edbA lovely place to stay in Pokhara. Relaxed, clean and with very attentive staff. Anything you need just ask and nothing is too much hassle. The room was a lovely en suite and we couldn’t have asked for more. We organised trekking through peace eye, Milan and Depuck, our guide and porter, were amazing and friendly for our week trekking. We had the best time here and trekking and a big thank you to everyone! Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in any length stay in Nepal and if we visit again wouldn’t look anywhere else but to peace eye!

Reviewed By 43benjaminpI always stay at Vardan when in Pokhara and it feels like a home away from home. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, the beds comfortable. It's very relaxing to sit on the terrace after a long day out. The gardens are immaculately maintained and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The owner, Madan is very hospitable and can arrange any excursions required and provides a very personal service as a host. Thank you all very much again for the great stay and looking forward to staying in the near future!

Amazing stay
Reviewed By wagabondnandaI had decided to go there with my sisters during my visit in 2019 and we did it during May 2022. It was an amazing stay interacting with friendly and loving lodge keepers Sunitha and Mahindra. The vegetables were from their own garden. We sisters had a great time chatting under the umbrellas on their well keot lawn sipping delicious tea and eating spiced cucumber freshly picked from their garden. Covid has been hard on snall inn keepers I give a high five to Mahindra and Sunitha to continue to serve the best to their visitors!! I will always go back there?

The Mountain House is a family-run, simple and comfortable guest house in the 17th street, central part of the Lakeside, Pokhara. The Mountain House has a beautiful front garden, rooms are comfortable with new furniture, soft - clean bed, attach bath with 24 hours warm water heated by solar power/electricity. Most of the rooms have two big cross windows with sunny private balconies which offers a splendid view of the mountains. It is running by a hard working Nepali family where you can feel the complete homely atmosphere. We also own trekking and travel agency called "The Nepal Treks", as per our guests requirements we help them to arrange Trekking, Paragliding, Rafting, Sight seeing,Jungle Safari ,Ticketing!!!

Indira, the very friendly and welcoming owner, offered us a very spacious and immaculately clean room which had a fan and also AC (which we did not need to use). The Mountain House is located in a very quiet road and is yet very central, close to all the amenities in Pokhara. We will definitely come back!

As soon as you arrive you are welcomed by the beautiful scenery and the beautiful family that runs it. The comfortable cottages are built to fit seamlessly with the local aesthetics and are surrounded by lush gardens and breathtaking views. Waking up to the Annapurna range and especially Machapuchare in the early morning is something you’ll never forget. The gardens of the Eco Village are the perfect place to enjoy this view, with a delicious cup of their very own blend of Eco Tea. There is simply green everywhere and you immediately feel all your stresses and worries fading away. And it’s all functional, too. The Eco Village grows all their own fresh organic vegetables, legumes, grains, fruits, teas and coffees. They get the freshest milk straight from their cow, twice a day (the milk goes through a pasteurization process). This is truly the epitome of farm to table. And the food is delicious! Best Dal Bhat, hands down! Every day we would tell ourselves we would try to eat a little bit less, but it’s just impossible to resist this amazing food that is cooked with real love and warmth. And you can even learn how it’s all cooked in the kitchen, which is recommended even if you’re not a keen cook, because it’s such an entertaining place to hang out. The Eco label is not applied lightly, either. Apart from growing their own food, they filter their own water, make use of solar power and even use the waste of both livestock and the lavatories to make bio gas. All they do is with the aim to promote and practice sustainable living and sustainable tourism, and to give back to nature and the local community of Astam. But what really makes this place so special is the family running it. Brothers Bishow, Bednidhi and Purna and their beautiful extended families are some of the warmest and nicest people you’ll find anywhere. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel like family. Every day we were greeted with warmth and love and pleasant conversation, and we were shown all the ins and outs of the village. After being legally married earlier, in Pokhara, we realized that Eco Village would be the ideal place to have a wedding ceremony as well. When we proposed this, the whole Adhikari family really came together and in a manner of only a few days put together a truly magical wedding in the local custom, complete with a 10 piece Panche Baja band from Astam village and a march to a shrine very sacred to the local community, guided by the local Pandit (priest). It was a breathtaking and humbling experience, and Annapurna Eco Village and all the wonderful people that call it home will always have a special place in our hearts. This place is highly recommended, and definitely one we’ll come back to, again and again. Thank you so much for everything, we can’t wait to see you all again! All the love from Marina and Johan.

Reviewed By Anuj_WahiVisited with family and stayed 3 days. Owner of the hotel Mr Janakji is extremely polite, helpful and courteous and so is the staff. Location is good and view from the balcony is great. Best as a budget hotel with all amenities. Mr Janak's reference also helped us get a hotel when we were at Kathmandu. Hotel does not have a lift but that can be ignored considering the location, onwer's exceptional politeness, price of the room and view from the balcony.
