Short stopover during the Jubilee celebrations!

Charming B&B with lovely clean room and great breakfast! The hosts are really friendly and accomodating. We were only stopping one night as we toured Yorkshire over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend but is the best room and breakfast we have had. The Crown Inn in the village is good for food but was operating with restricted opening hours, due to staffing issues, during our stay.

Sunday lunch stop in the beer garden

Stopped here for lunch after a visit round Staithes. Food was excellent, and we sat in the beer garden at the back, although dogs are allowed inside, we opted for the quite concrete beer garden/courtyard. Fish and chips - excellent as was the crab sandwich with chips. Washed down with good wine and cider. Sorted for a Sunday lunch.

North Ings Bed & Breakfast

We are now back to B&B, from January 2021. This imposing stone-built detached former farmhouse, dating back to 1731, sits in an enviable location in Robin Hood’s Bay just a short stroll from the old village. We have 5 ensuite Bedrooms, including, King & Double Rooms. We have a large private on-site car park with enough space for a car for every room, which if you've been to Robin Hood's Bay before you'll know is very rare and a bit of a luxury. In 2021 we completely renovated the house. Breakfast is served in our dining room (between 8am and 9am) with 1 table per room. The best prices and availability are always available on our website.

What a find

Oh my word, what a great place to stay. We had the pleasure of staying at North Ings for a couple of nights and will certainly be looking at coming back. Both Max and Michael have put their heart and soul into ensuring guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay with the house and rooms having been decorated beautifully as well as being lovely and clean. Beds are nice and comfy and breakfast was fantastic. Thought has also been given to the treats in the mini fridge including the bottled water, chocolate and fresh milk. If you are staying then try out the tapas, you will not be disappointed. We decided to try it on our first night, enjoyed it so much we went again the second night. Not only if the food delicious what also gives you an enjoyable evening is that there aren’t many tables meaning customers can talk to other customers (if you wish) and the hosts Max & Michael.

A Weekend in Robin Hood's Bay

Reviewed By rdtinsley

Lee-side is an elegant Victorian building which is full of character. Parking was surprisingly easy in such a popular and picturesque village. Our room was spacious and comfortable and there was a lovely visitors' lounge with a carafe of port and a bottle of Bailey's on the sideboard. Claire and Nigel are the perfect hosts and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived with complimentary tea and cake. Breakfast was first-class with a wide choice. Our hosts made excellent recommendations regarding evening meals and places to visit in the locality. This is an excellent place to stay for anyone visiting the Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby area.
