Reviewed By electra2015We stayed there for 4 nights. Now, you have to take into account that different people require different things. The hostess is truly welcomin upon arrival but.. despite the fact that it's a beach hotel there are no umbrellas or beds in front of the hotel. I consider this a minus since it would make good business if it had. it is in a quiet location. next to it there is a restaurant which only opens at noon. it is a 10-min walk to a sandy beach with 2 beach bars, with umbrellas and beds. the coffee there is good and the cost for umbrella and 2 beds is 5e ( which i think is excellent ). very polite people and accommodating. for the first time in my travels to greek islands, the owner of the beach bar treats his customers with fruit or biscuits. and the politeness is genuine. The hotel : ( my comments are based on previous experiences in greek islands ) it's very clean, with new furniture and facilities. the breakfast is a buffet which means it should be replenished until the expiration time. this did not happen one day when guests where more than expected (?). the reaction was rather childish with waving hands when we asked if there is more bread. some supplies were brought after that but nothing that would justify the glowing reviews i read here ( concerning the breakfast ). the variety is good but nothing exceptional. all in all this is a good hotel in a quiet location, close to main hub of agia pelagia.

Reviewed By cordef52Anemes is a small lovely hotel in Avlemonas. It has cozy apartments of different sizes and decoration but always nice. The owners Paschalis and Mema together with the always smiling Matilda will make your stay unforgettable. The breakfast is always a great way to start the day: it's done express according to your desires and it's far away from the usual buffets of industrial food. There is only one pitfall: when you come you'll never wish to leave?

Would definitely return to enjoy that amazing and genuine mama's breakfast that Ms. Maria serves, always with a smile.

In a small village of Agia Pelagia of Kythira island we built a small hotel about 80 metres away from the seaside with 7 seven double bed rooms.All the rooms have sea view and individual balconies.

They welcomed us with homemade sweets and gave us very good directions about the places,sights and restaurants to visit on the island. The room was very pretty, clean and affordable, with all the necessary comforts (air condition- hairdryer, iron). The beach and the restaurants/bars of Agia Pelagia were very close to the room (you can go on foot). If I visit Kythira again, I will certainly stay in Kythira Golden Sun.

Reviewed By sebastiank84Where do I even start? We booked one night and ended up staying a week! And if we could, we would have stayed longer. The rooms are all lovely, but the sea view room is absolutely breathtaking. The beach which the hotel is next to is by far the best beach on the island and the facilities are amazing. The staff and the owner? A whole different league! Greek people are probably amongst the friendliest in the World, but everyone at Notara is just simply amazing! There is not a thing that they will not help you with. And finally the breakfast. Even during the COVID19, they are keeping their standards extremely high; the food is delicious and orange juice is just magnificent. And never have I had breakfast closer to the sea. Because of this stunning view, the breakfasts never took less than 2 hours. Oh and the Island... yes it is small and you will not find the kind of Crete parties, but the place is fantastic for a romantic gateway.

Reviewed By chunkyCheshire6 of us booked the Avlemonas bay sea houses and going on the photos, when we booked sea view were expecting a view of the cove. We did not receive this but were initially put out the back with a view of scrubland and then the sea. We did sort it out and would book again, but would be very specific about what we wanted. We loved the place, the owner is an artist who makes things from drift wood, we purchased 2 gifts from him. The place is stunningly beautiful and the people so friendly, we would book again.

Modern and spacious studios to rent in the beautiful island of Kythera.
Well Located in a Peaceful village
Reviewed By ady21We stayed 9 nights at a two bedroom studio. We selected to stay at Livadi village due to its location at the centre of the island that is convenient for travelers that wish to explore the island. There was was clean and spacious and the area is very quiet surrounded by olive trees and fig trees. It is recommended for explorers like us that do not intend to stay a long time at the room. At a walking distance there are a lot of cafes, restaurants, bakery supermarket and pharmacy.
