First boutique hotel in Alor Setar, Kedah. Located in one of the oldest town in Alor Setar, Pekan Cina. Converted from a pre-war building, a boutique hotel with old and modern design. Only 5 unique rooms in this boutique hotel which the size range from 220sqft to 400sqft.

Reviewed By NazdaWe booked this hotel as we have an early ferry trip to Kuala Perlis Jetty to catch the next morning. We booked 2 rooms including one with a balcony. The rooms were very clean with high quality linens, basic amenities and Young Living diffuser. One room had bottled plain water, the other one didn't have. But this is not an issue since they offer free local snacks and drinks from their fridge at the lobby. The toilets (including the one at the lobby) were super clean. There is no bathroom door, only curtain so if privacy is an issue you might want to book a separate room. The hotel has reserved parking spots in front of the hotel. Breakfast was basic, they offerred delicious nasi lemak, toasts and cereals. The issue here is that there is only one table with 3 chairs and one bench to accommodate all guests. During our stay the family who was sitting there took their own sweet time chatting after they were done, and ignoring the fact that other people were standing up waiting for them to leave. Some people can be inconsiderate urghhh. The hotel might want to reconsider the lobby cum dining space arrangement. I accidentally left my camera and the staff called me up to inform me and they kept the camera until I could come to collect it later. Major point there. Thank you??

Reviewed By 222yahoo22Always staying at Leverage Mergong, then I decided to try this one at Kuala Kedah. Oh the room is much more spacious than Mergong. Well a nice budget hotel and has everything I need for a short stay. Will certainly be back.

Reviewed By EllMarzukiThe carpet is so dirty. I saw some dirty spots on my room carpet. The environment feels so old and not good. The staff doesn't seem to be happy with any smile on their faces. Yellowish water when I use the bathtub. Doesn't have room service. Some lamp switches not working. They use digital touch switches. Seem to look futuristic but not working. Totally not useful. The breakfast is good.

Reviewed By Loneranger972the moment i walked in, i couldn't help but be struck by the professional mien of the receptionist. The room itself was squeaky clean and sufficiently spacious for two. There is nothing much to nitpick except maybe the tap attached to the sink might need some maintenance work. The hotel does not come with special reserved parking but plenty of parking spots available anyway along the vicinity of the hotel. There are a number of Chinese restaurants behind the building while a Malay food stall can be found across the road. I would definitely be a patron of this hotel in the future.

Reviewed By mokhsein63Stayed for 2 weeks on business matters, very fast checked-in with very warm welcome and very nice lobby, smell aromatherapy with Kenny G instrumental music (my favourite), newspaper & magazines provided at the nice and clean lobby . This hotel consist of 2 floors shop lots but the hotel provide Clean Lobby LIFT for the guest convenience. Room very spacious with comfortable linen and 5 star bath towels. Superb amenities incl.tooth brush & tooth paste...thumbs up.. Overall are very good and definately will come back...

Good budget guesthouse
Reviewed By WanderOwlThe check-in was fast and efficient with friendly staff. We stayed in a triple room with 3 single beds which was a plus unlike other bigger hotel which will give you a queen bed + extra bed. It has bathroom attached. The room was clean and bright - I emphasized on bright unlike other places where rooms were dimly lighted and dark. There is no elevator you will have to carry your own luggage up and down. The location is in a residential area and no shops nearby for food. It is good if you have own transport and they have ample parking spaces. They also have a small cafe selling drinks and vegan food.

Reviewed By FaizalP61Stayed overnight on the way to Thailand. Hotel is in a shophouse next to the bus station. Facilities basic but price was very cheap. Took family room for 4 ( 2 double beds). Reception was helpful and efficient. Room was fine ( considering price). Easy to find food next door.
