It’s very true, you get what you pay for. We paid £40 for the night so weren’t expecting Hilton standards. The place itself is very basic and quite dated, but it was clean, and welcoming, the rooms were perfect for what we needed, the bed was amazingly comfy, you get proper mugs for tea and coffee and a tv that works. Breakfast was basis but just what we needed, toast and cereal with tea/coffee/orange juice. The little game room has a bandit and a pool table, the cues were a bit old but it didn’t stop us having a few games (0.50) a go. The little bar is manned by the same person as the reception desk. A pint and glass of wine is £3.50, they also sell crisps chocolate and pop. If you want to take your own alcohol and food to the room you can. There is a Tesco extra about 5 miles away. Lovely little find. There is an all you can eat Indian restaurant next door that is amazing.

Set within three acres of garden, orchard and paddock, Eagle Mill is an 18th Century millworker's cottage which has had a purpose built, architect designed bed and breakfast extension attached. The area has a countryside feel yet it is convenient to the market towns of Huntingdon and St Ives with Cambridge being a mere 13 miles away. The fast train from Huntingdon will deliver you to London Kings Cross within 50 minutes. The twin villages of Houghton and Wyton lie a short stroll away, as do the wondrous countryside and river walks of the Ouse valley. The villages boast two traditional pubs offering good food, a busy independently owned traditional shop, two tea rooms, an antique shop and an amazing art gallery which showcases the eclectic talent of local artists. The only operational water mill on the River Great Ouse is situated in Houghton and it is maintained by the National Trust.
There's actually nothing we could fault with our stay! Eagle mill is beautiful. We stayed in the Hemingford room, which is lovely. Comfortable bed, lovely products in the bathroom, very clean and stylish. Breakfast was freshly cooked by Sam, to perfection! The gardens are amazing, so pretty and peaceful. Sam and Sonia are the perfect hosts, we can't wait to visit again!

Two ensuite twin rooms on ground floor of modern farm house overlooking mature walled garden and lake. Accommodation includes use of large living room with TV.
Having booked just a few days in advance, this B&B was far better value than the usual Prem Inn/Travelodge/Holiday Inn chains I might usually stay at. The low price paid may have just been a one-off as there appeared to be no other guests staying while I was there. Arrived as late as 8.40pm but still received a friendly welcome and asked at what time I would like breakfast and whether that would be a cooked breakfast or not. The room was spacious with two twin beds, a two-seater sofa, TV, tea and coffee with a jug of fresh milk - both the room and the bathroom were spotless. The view of the garden from the window was gorgeous. I was given the internet router password and connected easily. The bed was very comfortable and I slept quite well, The shower in the morning was piping hot. The breakfast was served at a large table - tea or coffee, cereals, bread for toasting, marmalade and local honey - the cooked breakfast was delivered very quickly and was piping hot. I certainly didn't need to eat again before mid-afternoon.

Lunch this week I chose a vegetarian option - roasted vegetable puff pie with a garlic and herb sauce The "pie" consisted of peas, carrots, broccoli and some white chunks - no idea what they were . The vegetables certainly were not roasted and to serve such very basic veg in a vegetarian dish was insulting. they were even as an accompaniment to a meat dish they would have been disappointing Had I not been with a friend who would have been mortified I would have sent the dish back to the kitchen on its arrival at the table . They also had the nerve to charge over £15 for the meal

Family run business in a peaceful location with grounds boardering the edge of a golf course. Surrounded by fields , grassland, hedges & trees wildlife is plentiful. The Old Grain Store has plenty of free off road car parking & should you wish to borrow cycles we have a couple you may wish to explore the village roads & tracks on.
Laura. I want you to know how much I appreciate the understanding, and excellent service you provided on today, when when my Mrs goofed and miss-booked our stay. Your attention to detail, great communication skills, and ready response made the experience even better than I expected. I am looking forward to our stay, if it works out this Christmas, and even if it does not work out. I've found my got spot for future visits to Cambs.

Located in the beautiful, quiet village of Hemingford Grey, on the outskirts of St Ives, the Willow Guest House is just off the A14, with easy links to Stansted and the M11, Cambridge, Huntingdon, London and Peterborough.
At short notice I needed accommodation close to RAF WYTON. I found The Willow on this site and what a gem it turned out to be. Kate was a superb host, and put me up in the Penthouse: warm, luxurious, and very comfortable. Next door is a nice gastropub - The Cock; had a good meal there. Kate and Nick provided a superb breakfast - freshly cooked and lots of it. If you're looking for a good place to stay, on business or pleasure, or as an alternative to RAF WYTON (a.k.a. Stalagluft 17 - there was no heating or hot water hence my need to seek alternative accommodation...) then The Willow Guesthouse is it!
