Bravo Giorgio!

Reviewed By kimbrenda62

In addition to the impressive location, Giorgio, the owner, was surprisingly polite. He gave us all the essential information and some very helpful advise. He managed for us the trip booking to the Asinara island. The rooms were nice and clean. The cleaning service has been operative every day and the breakfast was continental. However, the owner is willing to meet any particular request at any time. I would strongly recommend B&B Al Porto to any type of traveler: families, couples at any age and singles.

Amazing stay here!

Reviewed By Christina O

My boyfriend and I stayed here as we were going to a wedding in nearby Andria. This was in a great location and walking distance from the main port and city center. The hosts were very gracious and gave us great advice on the surrounding area. Once I communicated to them that I have a gluten intolerance, they went out of the way to make sure there were delicious gluten-free options at the breakfast, which I greatly appreciated. They also provided us with an early breakfast on the day we checked out as we had to leave quite early. The wi-fi and air conditioning worked very well and the room itself was very comfortable. Right across the street was a small cafe that was always open that had wonderful coffee and snacks. We would definitely stay here again!

stay like at your home ...in everything

Reviewed By italianwolf78

Very nice place with a management caring about you. Everything is automatic and you are independent in a way that makes you at home. Personally I'm not in this kind of places because traveling for work I prefer more impersonal and easy places. What I disliked: 1) you arrive and there's a small area in front of the villa where you can park but you should be a little precise parking..not much of space 2) breakfast is ok but there's few choices, good products and excellent quality but small selection 3) there's no 24h reception or hotel typical services. Summary: nice and pleasant place, just be sure you don't search for a more standardised solution

Kapsott B&B

Discover the hidden treasure of Kapsott in the ancient palace of the Papagni family, the lords of the Cittadella quarter, at the crossroads of endless centuries-old olive groves of Puglia and the wild coast of the Adriatic Sea, on the route that connects the Gargano promontory with the Salento region. Enter the secret story of our liberty style palace and walk through history and tradition, for an unforgettable experience. Authentic, elegant, antique, with a modern heart. Like all treasures, Kapsott unveils its core to those who can find it. The imposing building made of tuff of Puglia welcomes our guests in the elegant Spanish style courtyard. The Tuscan arc invites to cross the French oak woodwork front door with art nouveau iron decoration. When you walk underneath the enchanted inscription on the keystone “1911” the spell is cast and time freezes in the majestic high-domed hall with chandelier, rustic ashlar and the staircase made of typical “chianca” stone from Puglia that will take you upstairs through an intriguing play of light and shadow. Following the classic iron-wrought handrail you will walk backwards in time to the heart of Kapsott. Legend has it that when the travelers of the Appian Way rode through the ancient quarter of Cittadella, in Bisceglie, Puglia, these stopped to rest in a noble palace, raising on the fields close to the shore. Known for their hospitality, the lords of the palazzo were called “Kapsott:” this was the nickname of the Papagni family, noblemen of the Cittadella and lords of extensive properties all over the lands of Puglia. They say the Papagnis used to walk head down - “kapsott” in the local dialect - to examine the ground for new plantations, “for the soil was the most precious treasure one could own.” Signor Sergio Papagni built the palazzo of Cittadella on an existing mansion in the year 1911 and it still belongs to the heirs of the Papagnis, who have restored it in the name of the family tradition of hospitality. The palazzo has gotten its early 20th century prestige back, enriched with modern comfort and retro minimal design. The legend of Kapsott comes back to life and the treasure of the Papagni family unveils itself to its guests.

Very hard to find, but its worth it when you do!

We only had one night in this little fishing village of Bisceglie and we had read on Trip Advisor how it was hard to find and once again our GPS lead us astray. As we don't speak Italian it was so difficult trying to ask for help and the people who we did ask sent us in the wrong direction! Eventually after using my Aussie mobile at great expense, we finally managed to locate our host in a car park and then we just followed him to the B&B which we had driven past many times and not even realized it. We were up two flights of stairs with a lovely balcony overlooking the fishing Village and the ocean. The host Alex was a charming person and couldn't do enough for us. He prepared a lovely Italian breakfast in the morning, so we would recommend this B&B if you are planning a trip to Bisceglie
