Charming but lots of stairs
Reviewed By SashazurCharming small hotel in a cute village 15 minutes drive from Delphi, everything looked recently updated. Quiet location a few blocks walk to shops and restaurants. Guests only parking lot across the street. Friendly front desk guy gave good suggestions about where to eat. Our big clean loft room had skylights and a nice view of the town and valley. It was split level with the bedroom area on top and the sitting room (with wood burning fireplace) and heated floor bathroom below - when we needed to use it in the middle of the night it meant negotiating a twisty staircase while almost asleep. Overall this is not a place to stay if stairs are a problem, as also there’s no elevator, no ground floor rooms, and breakfast (which was a simple buffet) is in the basement.

I'm from Singapore and get very cold quite easily, she kindly accomodated us to a room with extra heating. Immaculate, comfortable and cosy room. It was perfect! Breakfast was fantastic! Everything is made with love and tastes fabulous! Dana's homemade treats were such a wonderful touch. Highly recommend staying here. Dana and her partner aswell as the staff are wonderful. “Patriko” is located in the center of Arachova, in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the Karaiskaki square at an altitude of 950m. This charming guesthouse is built in a traditional style in order to provide a comfortable stay and friendly hospitality. It is built entirely of stone and wood with respect to the local architecture and is 160km far from Athens. “Patriko” Guesthouse, offers comfortable and independed two bedroom apartments of 50sqm, following the traditional architecture that combines stone and wood. All apartments are wonderfully decorated, fully equipped with fireplace (firewoods are provided) and can accommodate from 2 to 5 persons each at very good prices starting from 40 euros during summer season and 60 euros in winter (on weekdays). Try the owner’s local drink called “tsipouro”, a family recipe made from grapes of his production, which is prepared in an 80 years old traditional pot still (free bottle in the rooms). Great view, but minimal services
Reviewed By AndreaDinHoustonLovely view across the valley. Charming building with stone walls and wood-paneled ceilings. New plumbing fixtures and a clean bathroom. However, the owner seems to be focused on minimizing the hotel's expenditures as much as possible. For example, there were NO water glasses in the bathroom or main bedroom (not glass, not plastic nor paper!), 3 out of 5 light bulbs in the chandelier were unscrewed or burned out, 1 out of 2 light bulbs above the bed was not working, the TV didn't turn on (maybe the batteries were dead in the remote control?), the refrigerator was turned off, and the breakfast had NO fruit nor vegetables -- not even tomatoes and cucumbers were offered. And the balcony had only one chair -- not two. Also note if you are a light sleeper: the clock tower bell about 50 meters away chimes on the hour EVERY hour, including in the middle of the night. It's quite loud. In addition, with the main road running right in front of the hotel, there will be some traffic noise heard with the windows open in summer. But I imagine that at least 8 months of the year, the weather is cool enough at this elevation (3070 ft.) to sleep with the double-paned windows shut. That wasn't the case, though, in mid-August.

Μπορείτε ακόμα να έχετε χωρίς επιπλέον χρέωση σίδερο και DVD player. Επίσης στο χώρο του ξενοδοχείου έχει δημιουργηθεί μία υπέροχη αίθουσα πρωινού, όπου οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να ξεκινήσουν την ημέρα τους με ένα πλούσιο γεύμα απολαμβάνοντας τον καφέ ή το χυμό τους σε ένα πραγματικά όμορφο και ξεκούραστο χώρο. Πριν την εξόρμηση σας στο βουνό του Παρνασσού ή τον αρχαιολογικό χώρο των Δελφών, μη χάσετε την ευκαιρία να περιηγηθείτε στην Αράχωβα, να ανακαλύψετε τα γραφικά δρομάκια, τα όμορφα καφέ και εστιατόρια καθώς και την όμορφη αγορά του χωριού όλο το χρόνο. Στο Ευ Ζην, η άνεση και η ευχαρίστηση έχουν προταιρεότητα!!

The location is great with an amazing view, only half an hour from the skiing spots. The service was excellent, the staff very polite and the breakfast delicious!
