I have been here many times before and even on a wet day in February it's still beautiful. There's something so peaceful about it. We didn't stop for a picnic as it was raining on and off all day but it's certainly a great place to have one. Very quiet and it looks like the restaurant is being refurbished, as it was closed. The council are building more car parking and picnic spaces as its very popular in the summer. I prefer it in the winter.

A little slice of heaven in a beautiful part of Portugal. Shhh....it's a secret! This river beach is our go to after a long day. There has been lots of investment recently and it shows. Love this place.
