The Facebar

I've been going to this place for many years, there is no place like it, small to medium size gigs, club nights catering to rock, metal, indie, goth, drum and bass, dance, reggae and more can be had here, they also cater for private parties, wedding receptions and school parties, it's just a great overall venue for almost any need, it's also got a private smoking area (for both rooms) which is rare these days, the drinks are cheap considering its close to the centre, Sharon and Helen have been running the place for many years and are a pillar of the local community! Gigs or club nights on most Friday and Saturdays (usually)

Lovely pub, with a friendly warm atmosphere, nice bar staff and a great choice of drinks. I had Sunday lunch last week and it was amazing and very cheap for the quality of food, I highly recommend the Sunday roast and a visit!!!

Great pub with a good range of cask and keg beers, and a very good selection of gin. Friendly, efficient staff. Can get busy when Reading FC are playing at home.

The Alehouse

The pub has an interesting layout with many small "coves". This makes it a great place to meet up with friends, since you can have a conversation away from the noise of others. And the beer is great!

The Nags Head

I met a friend for a quick pint (or two). He's a real ale aficionado and had thoroughly recommended meeting at this pub. I like my real ales too, and to walk in and see the amazing variety of ales was a sight for sore eyes. Sadly could only try a couple as I had to drive a little later. The food choices are limited, but that's not why you go to this pub.Nevertheless the John Thorners pies (from my old neck of the woods) are very good, and I thoroughly enjoyed my steak and Stilton pie. This pub is about 20 minutes walk from home for me, but I'm sure I'll soon be making the effort to return!

Milk

Just a rum shack and cocktail bar in Reading centre. Tucked away down a side street, upstairs in the old forge, you'll find Reading's largest rum selection, as well as funky DJs and extensive cocktail menu. Hosting monthly rum tastings and comedy events, it's something a little different. We've made a few changes under the new Government guidelines, please visit our Google, Facebook, or Instagram to view the measures we've put in place.

Milk is the best hidden gem in Reading! Amazing knowledge from Connie, Andy and the team on all the delicious rums they have and they also have an amazing variety of cocktails. Only thing I don't like is how far away I live from Milk now :( Always pop in when I'm back in Reading! +Also covid rules are thorough and we felt very safe the whole time we were there.

Caffeine & Cocktails

Reviewed By caronl2014 - Burnham, United Kingdom

We went to Caffeine & Cocktails on Sat 31st Aug 19 after a friends birthday lunch. Luckily we were in time for the happy hour, 241 cocktails and £15 prosecco! After being at the venue for over 3 hours we were asked very apologetically if we could move from our area , as it was reserved for another party. The barman was lovely and we got a drink on the house and were found a table else where. A DJ came on later the the evening, and the fun and slightly old school set got us up and dancing! It was a fun evening !
