If we hadn't been told by a Aussie in Canada about this place we would never have found it and it was the best bar experience in Australia ever - the greatest place and the friendliest staff I have met in ages, what great people and what a great place. Very hidden though and it sure gives a speakeasy impression i.e. hard to find. Can't wait to go back when in Sydney next time.

When visiting The Rocks area it is recommended that you drop into The Lord Nelson brewery pub, especially if it is around lunchtime or dinner. The pub is great, serving real pub food in an old stone building that just reeks with history. However the real winner is the beers that are brewed on site with the Three Sheets pale ale being one of Sydney’s best craft brewed beers. Worth taking the time to visit.

Went here to chill on a friend's birthday after dinner. Great service from Paulo and cozy ambiance to just relax after a busy day at work and celebrate. I heard it was very busy during the weekends. Will definitely come back and checkout the espresso martini.

Great outback pub, quite large with alfresco dining, if you don't mind the heat, but it's unde4cover, but you can eat in the pub, at the bar, around the tables or a dining area. The pub itself is full of me orabillia and great photos to view from stars and idols whom have been their including in as, Mel Gibson. The menu is good pub grub, was there about 11, so we chose a burger and chips. The chips were big , fresh and crisp, the burger was home cooked not frozen. But you can get a good steak, fish and chips or pie or good old Chico roll.

My third visit to Sydney and I visit Grandma's every time. Possibly my favourite bar in the CBD. Took some other friends from the UK, who were there at the same time and they also loved it - we all had a different cocktail - my favourite is the Peanut Butter Colada. Great for small groups and for couples on a date

We happened upon this charming Irish pub while searching for oyster restaurants near our hotel. We entered a virtually unmarked entrance door to a resounding “Heyyyy!” Reminiscent of “Norm!” From Cheers. Cool tunes, excellent selection of drinks, delicious fresh oysters! There are only four items on their food menu, and every one of them is delicious perfection. Lamb Sausage roll or vegetarian sausage roll, plougher board (a medley delicious jams, meats, cheeses, and the freshest best sourdough I’ve ever tasted, and charged corn on the cob. And oysters!! Freshly shucked and garnished with a delicious mignonette. Drinks are unique and delicious. Try the seaside martini, served with a couple of oysters and a shot of scotch whiskey. I also make a mean old-fashioned. Don’t miss out on this special local hangout.
