We have enjoyed a fabulous breakfast today, the staff Monika and Madi are very helpful. Our little girl fell asleep so they offered us a different table where she could lie down and were very attentive throughout our visit. The food was delicious & hot and the continental buffet was plentiful and looked very inviting. Thankyou!

At all Bar One, we've been running stylish city bars in central locations since 1994. Whether you want to catch-up over cocktails, share a bottle of well chosen wine or enjoy an excellent meal out, you'll find something, and somewhere, to suit you.
We arrived at the restaurant and told there was a 20 minute wait for a table, which was fine. However, we wasn't escorted to the bar and was abandoned at the door. No names were taken to alert us when a table became available. Multiple tables became available, yet nobody approached us to tell us a table was free. We had to ask the staff if we could sit at the free table as we were just left. When we sat at the table we had to ask for someone to clear the table. When they did so they cleared away a member of our parties drink too. The clean up of the table was unsatisfactory as the table wasnt adequately wiped as the waitress used a dirty looking dish rag and only wiped a small proportion of the table. We were sat waiting for our order to be taken, however nobody approached the table and customers who arrived after us were served before us. Members of staff were preoccupied with interacting with each other. It would be too easy to say we felt invisible, instead we felt painfully visible and entirely ignored. After continuing to be ignored, we walked out of the restaurant to eat elsewhere. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. Giving it 1/5 stars is too complimentary for the service we received.Hi Joanne,I am very sorry to hear about this. Please can you email me at the following address so that I can fully investigate this matter and get some further details off [email protected] you

I have been a couple of times to use the spa and swimming pool facilities. I think the spa is fabulous well equipped and very relaxing. The reception staff are friendly and very accommodating. The pool and spa facilities are well worth a visit they are well presented and fully equipped with water cannons a hydro pool and both steam room and sauna. There are always cleaning staff present who are also helpful and friendly. The waterside all in all comes across as well managed and i would recommend the hotel.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at George's recently to celebrate a family birthday - the atmosphere was very relaxed, food was excellent (fish was the best I'd tasted for a long time), and the staff were very attentive - our waiter especially made a huge effort (I think his name was Cameron but apologies if this is wrong), making sure that we had everything we needed on a regular basis, especially as we had a toddler with us. The birthday girl received a free cocktail which was a lovely touch as well. The big surprise, given the quality of the food and venue was the price which we felt was very reasonable. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family :-)

The Woodside in Worsley is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine
Called in for evening meal on a Thursday. We chose 2 courses from the set menu. We then saw other tables being offered another menu which I think included a drink - we were not offered this at all. We felt rushed to order our drinks. I hadn't decided what I wanted but the server stood at the table waiting so I reverted to my usual glass of dry wine.I ordered prawn and lobster cocktail to start. This consisted of some chopped up plain lettuce, 7 prawns (not big king prawns) and a sprinkling of 'lobster' flakes. The lobster mayo dressing was tasteless as was the whole dish which was served with bread toasted only on one side.My husband had lamb kebabs which he said we're good.We both ordered fish and chips for mains. When the server repeated the order back to us she said "2 cod and chips" although I don't think the menu stipulates cod.The first thing I noticed was that I had (although plenty enough for me) about a third less chips than my husband and a lot of then were potatoe-less, hard 'end bits' that I left on the side. When the server asked if everything was ok I mentioned the scrappy chips to which she offered to get more but I declined. We had only just started eating at this point. My husband's fish was a different shape to mine and consisted of white chunky flakes of fish. Mine on the other hand was almost certainly not cod. It was greyer and the flakes were bitty and embedded in the wet batter. I wasn't impressed especially as we have had 2 courses from a set menu at George's in Worsley village for less than the Woodside charges.Dear fsmollet we are upset to hear you had this experience with us. We sincerely apologise for having to encounter this and we only strive to attempt to ensure that our guests have a happy dining experience with us.We surely hope you would possibly consider giving us another try soon

Worsley Old Hall, in Worsley on the northern side of Manchester, is something a bit special: it is probably best described as being a country house pub...Nothing else quite seems to fit the bill. Although the building is on an impressive scale, it is not
We last visited Worsley Old Hall a few weeks ago on a sunny Sunday afternoon for a couple of drinks...We have visited a several times and find that if eating you usually end up waiting ages for meals and have to chase drinks orders etc, whereas if just having a drinks (no food) the service is prompt and very good...Staff are always warm & welcoming and this place offers plenty of seating inside (in the bar area & restaurant section) and also outside in the beer garden out back... Worsley Old Hall welcomes all, including families, kids, & dogs...The food menu is good, but prices a touch expensive, whereas the drinks on offer are varied (including several changing real ales) and well priced... Overrall, a great location with plenty to offer, but whether your experience is good or average usually depends on whether you are eating or not... always popular & busy, so people like it here...

Great little cafe and lovely staff. Loads of healthy options including a slimming world special....which if it is syn free...was excellent. Not a critism hence the 5 stars but the coffee, hmm you have Salford Roasters on your doorstep, get them in, much tastier. Overall it's excellent and I recommend it wholeheartedly.Hi michelinadviser, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your kind review. We're really pleased you enjoyed your experience with us. The Slimming World Special certainly is syn free and it's a very popular dish. One of our favourites. We're glad you enjoyed it. Thanks too for the coffee recommendation. It's always helpful to know what flavours our customers prefer. Thanks again, The Bexters Team x

Now been going to the waterside for 12 years, it just doesnât disappoint . From front of house to bar staff the whole team are top notch. Food is second to none and a credit to everyone involved. The waterside is also a must in the summer as the beer garden overlooks the canal and there is nowhere in the vicinity that can compare to this place. Keep up the good work guys!!Hi Thank you for taking the time to review the restaurant with such lovely feedback. We will pass on to the team here at the Waterside. See you very soon. Best wishes Jo

visited here 03/11 for some Sunday morning Brunch receptionist was very friendly and so were the staff I ordered duck hash which was lovely, my girlfriend ordered the avocado on toast. When she received it her poached eggs were quite cold She told the waiter and he immediately asked if she wanted replacement eggs or a fresh meal. She asked for a fresh mean and it came back in about 5 mins with piping hot eggs. very good service I think you can tell a good resteraunt by the way they deal with complaints Not been to Alberts for a while, but I am going to make more of an effort to get there in the future. we are lucky to have such a good bar / resteraunt on our doorstepsHi Paul T, thank you so much for writing into us with this lovely review, we pride ourselves on creating unforgettable customer service experience and it really makes the teams day when we relay you positive feedbackThank you again for writing in to us and really hope to welcome you back in again soon.Just because we think you may find it of interest, we are holding a Christmas Market Fate on Sunday 15th December with loads of little local business and we will be putting on Christmassy mini treats and mulled wines etc we think you would love this.
